Anne Hathaway turned heads at the Met Gala last Monday by debuting a new blonde hair color, but she’s not the first natural brunette to embrace the bleach recently.
Drew Barrymore didn’t jump straight from a deep brunette to ultra blonde like Anne, rather the star has been taking baby steps–going from the dark chocolate shade she rocked for some time, to a light auburn to a honey blonde, and then finally going to a light strawberry blonde. Of course Drew is no newbie to light locks–the color chameleon has been blonde many times in the past, and I’m excited to see her rock her blonde locks out and about this summer.
Another star who regularly mixes it up is Demi Lovato, but the natural brunette had been wearing her hair long and dark for quite a few months–until this week! Demi stepped out with a blonder, shorter ‘do, and while it’s not the blondest we’ve ever seen her, it may be the most natural looking blonde shade we’ve seen the singer wear.
As for Anne, this is her first time going blonde (though she did wear a platinum wig for the film Alice in Wonderland), and so far, I think she’s wearing the dramatic change well! She said at the Met Gala that Debbie Harry was her inspiration, making her Monday debut fitting, and I’m really loving her as a ‘blondie’!
