Michelle Dockery In Burberry – 2013 Met Gala

MichelleDockeryBurberry

Michelle Dockery walked the famous red carpet stairs at the Met Gala in New York on Monday.

The ‘Downton Abbey’ actress wore a Burberry sheath dress.

I love this look: the inky hue and croc-embossed texture is perfection in a classic cut and topped with a mega statement necklace.

While it doesn’t read ‘punk’ to me at all, it’s one of my top styles of the night. Classic-meets-edgy, and all around beutiful.

Where do you stand? Yay or nay?

Very pretty, just too ladylike to be punk.

Not feeling it. This year’s Gala was such a fail. LOL.

Gorgeous dress. I LOVE the print! I can’t help but wish someone who was going to “work it” a little more had worn it– maybe a little more curve hugging? However, she looks stunning. Love everything about the look. I’m not sure if it is dressy enough for the Met however.

AMEN. Did she perhaps forget where she was going??? How can you be soo frigging plain and boring on purpose??? this year was the worst of the worst galas.

Agree completely. I don’t understand the intrigue with this woman in terms of her fashion choices. This case is no exception. The cut is way too dowdy and better suited for an elderly woman.

I love it, I just don’t like the length – it should have been super short (punk) or long (couture)

    Bored.

This is not formal enough for the event. It would be great for a luncheon, but it’s very wrong for the event.

Pretty if you’re going out to dinner, but not for the Met Gala. I am underwhelmed.

This is boring compared to what everyone else wore. I also think the hair ages her.

Even I know that when the invitation says “Gala” you put on a gown. At best this dress says “edgy mother of the bride.”

    Boring, aging, unflattering
