Jessica Biel In Giambattista Valli Couture – 2013 Met Gala

JessicaBiel

Like several other stars, Jessica Biel stuck to black for the 2013 Met Gala in New York City.

But, far from basic black was her strapless Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture ensemble, worn with a wrist clutch and black slingback shoes from the design house.

The cinched-in, strapless bodice showed off Jessica’s small waist and stunning shoulders.

Then, came the drama with the mullet silhouette, which was shrouded in a flurry of tulle and a long train. Spiderweb-like leggings, as seen on the runway, increased the grunge-gorgeous meter here.

Maybe not wanting to competing with her couture gown, Jessica went for minimal, nude makeup and a sleek ponytail. No earrings and no necklace were part of this look, but a Fred Leighton cuff did make the cut.

Did you like Jessica’s plain and simple version of punk?

She lets the dress speaks for itself. I like the simple styling. She looks amazing!

+1 – one of the rare occasion where I like what she wears.

very rare, but yes, quite nice!

I don’t hate it but Jessica doesn’t bring any life into it.
In the battle of skirt with pants, I’m going to stick with Nina Dobrev.

I love everything about this all black look. The simple accessories are right IMO, she made the ensemble the center of attention. One of my favourites.

Jessica is competing for the second best dressed of the night in my mind. I like how the look is plain and simple.

Trying too hard but not bad. Not bad.

Please, stop. Just stop. I’m a punk rock girl, so I humbly beg you all just please stop saying pants/skirt gowns are ok. They’re not, they’re F$#%@ING UGLY!!!

This is PUNK themed…minimilism is not welcomed at all. She needed something more on top…some awesome eye makeup would have been welcomed or a nice earcuff…SOMETHING. this is just meh

I love the intricacy, but the skirt over pants is BAD and NEVER going to work in my book! It’s kind of a mess and Jessica does nothing to sell it to me anyway.

I wish I could “like” the Nina Dobrev comment.

This is minimalism done right, in an interesting way. It pains me to say it, but Carey Mulligan should takes notes.

I am not a punk girl. For me, this is how punk for the Met Gala should be interpreted. She looks gorgeous and I love this look.

this looks like nina dobrev’s gown, but worse. needed a pop of colour or something. maybe some dark red lippy

  13. Natalie May 7, 2013 at 06:23 #

This is terribly unflattering, her legs look chopped off. Not good at all.

  14. Aline May 7, 2013 at 07:21 #

LOVE it! I think she pulls this off effortlessly.

I also love how even though Biel and Nina went for black dress + pants combo, they still managed to give their own twist to each look and make them their own.

I love this on the model. This does not fit her well. The pants were to be ankle pant, and they arent on her, and the dress does not hit her at the waist

as usual she fails to work this look! this could have been a major look! but maybe on someone else. jessica wears all these great clothes and just fails to bring any kind of life into them. the last time she did bring life into a dress was the elie saab fall 2013 gown she wore to the tiffany & co. ball i think.

FC, she was wearing a septum ring. You missed that out. Thought you’d like to know! =)

    • goldfish May 7, 2013 at 21:29 #

loved the subtle septum ring. for me she was one of the best dressed of the night because her look wasn’t over the top like many of the others were.. i liked cara delevingne and anne hathaway’s looks too

gorgeous girl, her body is amazing

  19. Solveig May 7, 2013 at 13:57 #

I like that she wore the leggings, but the whole look just feels .. wrong. Hair and make-up is stunning, though.

  20. dee May 7, 2013 at 14:35 #

She needed to do more with her makeup. This could have been awesome.

  21. Moxie May 7, 2013 at 15:44 #

Not a fan. This just isn’t working.

  22. Prudence May 8, 2013 at 03:06 #
