Florence Welch In Givenchy – 2013 Met Gala

FlorenceWelch

Florence Welch wowed on the 2013 Met Gala red carpet at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

The singer put a vampy-bohemian spin on her ode to punk with a full-on fringe gown from the Givenchy Fall 2012 Couture collection.

Since Riccardo Tisci is a co-chair of tonight’s gala, it’s only natural that Florence wore the designer—and that she looked quite remarkable in his dress.

She’s statuesque enough to pull off this dramatic, long-sleeve creation and its floor-sweeping tassels without being overwhelmed.

But, truth be told, it was really Florence’s fiery-red locks that sold me on this all-black, rock-glam look.

On anyone else (or with any other hair colour), it would not have translated as powerfully.

LOVE. It was one of the few good looks tonight. And I thought last year was bad. Its not punk but its very Florence, it has that sultry sexy Florence glamour written all over it

I wouldn’t love this gown on everybody but I do on Florence, but her hair is what sold me on this look too.

A very enigmatic and mysterious look, very dramatic. The red hair makes an impact. I like it, so long as the slit doesn’t go too high. The velvet is so lush!

She looks like the personification of a crow, which is something that I really like. But dunno, the breast area seems too tight and her hair too limp.
