Elizabeth Banks In Atelier Versace – 2013 Met Gala

Elizabeth Banks In Atelier Versace - 2013 Met Gala

With Elizabeth Banks confirmed to wear Brian Atwood footwear, there was no chance of her wearing a gown to the 2013 Met Gala, which was held in New York City on Monday evening.

The ‘Hunger Games’ actress donned a gold Atelier Versace gold chainmail jacket from the Spring 2013 collection, which hits all the right fashion notes for the theme of this event.

With black piping on her frock, the look was perfectly accessorized with a gold studded black Atwood minaudiére, and sexy Brian Atwood leather fringed ‘Elizabeth’ sandals with gold metal studs.

Gold jewels, an updo and cat-eyes completed her stylish uber sexy look.

I wish she’d worn something from Versace’s punky fall 2013 collection for the night. They would have gone well with those shoes.

She looks sparkly and fab and definitely punk rock. Versace needs to get more attention on the red carpet, no? Great gold sandals and studded clutch, too. Atwood did her well.

    She looks gorgeous!

why not wear something from the ALL PUNK fall 2013 collection instead????

She’s not fierce enough to pull this off. I love her and think she’s gorgeous, but this needs attitude. She’s too sweet, methinks. 🙂

It stands out and is definitely on theme. Love the shoes and clutch.

I’m so sad! I thought she’d look fab, and then we get a tacky oversized sparkly blazer (where are the pants? where is the shirt?) and some crazy shoes. Not impressed.

It needs pants. She’s trying TOO hard.

Love the jacket, hate the shoes!

One of my favorites. It’s so unexpected.

I think the jacket/dress comes off a little cheap but the shoes are to die for. I know Elizabeth can do much better!

I really like it. She stood out among gowns and dresses.

Me too – Elizabeth really loves fashion and I love this on her, this is an opportunity to experiment with something other than a beautiful ballgown. Good for her!

      I agree.

i wish the jacket would have been more form-fitting. it could then have been a perfect look. but i love the accessories here. they work very well with the dress/jacket.

I only wish she’d added a belt to keep it from looking like a super-long, sparkly blazer.
Hair, makeup, and shoes are all magnificent.
