Katy Perry In Bottega Veneta – ‘Kinky Boots’ Broadway Play

Katy Perry In Bottega Veneta - ‘Kinky Boots’ Broadway Play

Before taking to the red carpet for the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala in New York City last night, Katy Perry was spotted on Broadway headed to see the ‘Kinky Boots’ play.

Perhaps inspired by the show’s title, the singer wore a pair of Bionda Castana ‘Maya’ booties in a rich Bordeaux hue with gold studded details with her Bottega Veneta Spring 2013 dress.

Her black-and-sand floral-print semi-sheer silk dress features lightly padded shoulders, ruched sleeves and black crepe panels with studded snake trims at the back.

With so much going on colour-, print- and texture-wise, she added a two-tone resin Etro cuff and a black Celine shoulder bag.

Did Katy overcook this look? Should she have let this feminine 40s dress stand on its own?

Agree. I love everything except the shoes.

She totally weighed down and overwhelmed the look with the jarring booties and clunky bracelet.

I love this dress. But not on her-wrong make up , wrong hair, wrong shoes. Less is more.

I absolutely love the Bottega Veneta Spring 2013, those dresses were just so lovely but I love forties style dresses. That being said those shoes and bracelets ruin the look, they are so random.

Love the dress and love the booties, but not together.

Totally off topic but I am sure I saw you, Catherine walking around Hanover Square, London at about 2pm today. I wanted to say to you how much I love your blog, but got shy. If it was you, you looked amazing all in black.

Ahhh..the key was the person was wearing all black, so of course it wasn’t me ;)

I am currently in Portugal on vacation, my last chance to relax, somewhat, before the Met Gala and Cannes.

You are not the first to see my twin in London.
Someone has actually shown me a picture of her and we are identical…separated at birth

Wow, it was amazing how much like you she looked. Enjoy your hols anyway :)

Great look from the ankles up.

She looks so pretty here that I’m willing to overlook the odd pairing of dress and booties.

I’d prefer softer make-up and more elegant shoes to enhance the 40s chicness of the dress. I’d like the shoes more if they were open toe.

I would really like the dress if it weren’t so lowcut. On Katy that’s a bit too revealing. However, she didn’t style it write. This needed a very soft, refined retro styling. Her shoes and bracelets–and even her hair and makeup–jar the look.
