Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser al Missned of Qatar In Valentino Couture – Inauguration Of King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands

Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser al Missned of Qatar In Valentino Couture - Inauguration Of King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands

In a very interesting coincidence, Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser al Missned of Qatar also wore a caped look during the inauguration of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands yesterday, but in a subtle navy hue so as not to upstage Queen Máxima.

Looking as elegant as ever, Sheikha Mozah wore a Valentino Spring 2013 Couture look.

With slight modifications from the runway, including a lined blouse and signature turban, the stylish royal added gold jewels to her look instead of all the diamond bling we have been seeing over the two-day event.

I would be interested to see if this royal’s love of a dramatic cape will translate onto the red carpet, with both the Met Gala and Cannes Film Festival just around the corner.

She looks like she is in mourning – not a joyous celebration. The mood is sombre, heavy and overpowering. I do not like this at all.

I agree with you, and I see lots of plastic surgery/botox, which distracts from the clothes.

The dress looks very poorly made, makes me wanna iron it so badly.><

    This lady’s got some STYLE!
I’m not crazy about the matchy-matchy jewelry, but that is a fantastic statement necklace if I ever saw one.

Would’ve liked this better if this ensemble would’ve been in a brighter colour.

      I agree.

The blouse, skirt and cape are quite incredible but the addition of the earrings and the necklace and the bejewelled bag is overkill for me. The strong and simple styling allows the look to really sing on the runway in my opinion. And the less said about the, um, facial enhancements the better.

She looks amazing… When is the Met Gala?

    • Catherine Kallon May 1, 2013 at 13:15 #

        Cool thx !
Beyoncé stylist went to Roland Mouret show room or shop i don’t know, maybe for the met gala?
Just hope she will be more sofisticated than last year.

I officially hate the Valentino Couture SS 13 Collection.

Very dowdy. I’m assuming that unfortunate finger gesture was unintentional. It likely means something else in Qatar than it does in the West, if it means anything at all.

She looks like a caricature of a middle eastern Disney lady villain.

    • Rebecca Z May 1, 2013 at 16:35 #

I agree–she looks scary. or like a menacing nun.

      • Jasmine May 2, 2013 at 07:30 #

She looks like a Death Eater or Dementor from Harry Potter books!
Very unfortunate choice.Of all the cotour her wealth could buy she had to choose something similar to the host queen!
very rude and un-etiquette like and tacky

        • najthan May 2, 2013 at 15:24 #

Yes because she deliberately chose to wear something like the host queen. Apply some logic please.

A little stiff and stodgy…it doesn’t compare to Maxima’s look. The fabric is unfortunate. Stiff taffeta like materials oughtn’t to be worked with this like that. Valentino’s done a poor job with them recently.

Not her best look ever, but overall I just love this woman’s style. She’s like a younger, middle eastern Sophia Lauren.

I just like the necklace. Dislike the matchy matchy jewels.

It’s rather dark and moody considering the time of year and what everyone else is wearing but I still like it. She gives a dramatic vibe and I like the gold jewellery with this. Perfect occasion to bling it up.

absolutely awful! terrible fabric and terrible color, money can buy you the right to host the world cup but can’t buy you taste.

and what’s with the turban?! she should either cover all her hair (according to Islam teachings) or not cover it at all… i don’t understand what she means with this turban.

and i think all this plastic surgery had fired back at her, it actually makes her look older!

one of those good from far but far from good
her face looks like plastic surgery gone wrong but this might just be the make up
the dress needs some ironing or change of material

So… I just have to say – She owns Valentino, so for a function like this, she probably felt obligated to wear from her own house. So… considering that, and the fact that she is EXTREMELY modest, per her own personal style/religion, its not THAT bad.
