Christina Ricci In Oscar de la Renta – ‘The Smurfs’ Family Festival Screening

Christina Ricci In Oscar de la Renta - 'The Smurfs' Family Festival Screening

Christina Ricci attended the ‘The Smurfs’ Family Festival screening during the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Saturday.

Taking over Smurf promo duties from Katy Perry, the actress opted for a sophisticated navy-and-white Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2013 look.

Her sleeveless embroidered dress with pleats was emboldened with bright-red pumps which matched her flirty pout.

While I wish this was about two inches shorter, I love her styling of this look. This is surprisingly conservative for Christina; however, the pumps save the look.

I’m not a fan of this look at all. She turned a sexy, young and modern dress into an old and conservative piece. The belt is awful and the shoes get mixed up with the red carpet so they do nothing for this look imo.
I’m crazy about the dress on the runway but I couldn’t care less on Christina.

Christina Ricci is a goddess- how she always manages to look 10 feet tall is one of life’s great mysteries. Love her hair and the ladylike bag sells the longer length to me right alongside the matching lip/shoe combo.

I absolutely love this dress and I think the extra length gives a more elegant silhouette and balances her look, as she is quite long waisted. The red shoes and lipstick give it extra lift.

I’m with the dropped length, I love the red accents via the shoes and lips.

      fine with*

    Very nice!
I like her styling, the red shoes in particular.

The still photo doesn’t do justice to the dress the way the runway one does. The black insets of the pleats, which you see upon movement, make the dress more interesting than would first appear.

I don’t like this–ages her and her hair looks odd. Not a fan.

I love it. I tend to like dresses that hit at the calf, so the length works for me. I like the pattern. The accessories could have been more interesting, but still, I like this look.

I agree about the length, but I love the red shoes and her hair with this look.

Good look, love the red shoe, dont care for the hair at all.

The flirty red pumps totally save the look, it would’ve been way too conservative otherwise esp. with the longer length. She looks still a bit boring but lovely.

LOVE every bit of it. The length actually works for me–I think she looks tall. The shoes were a perfect tough. This is almost BDOTW-worthy in my eyes.

I agree. I think she looks great. The length is working for me too.

Christina Ricci always looks tall. I don’t know how she manages it, but she does.

So true, she can pull off dresses made for tall women so well!

      • Quinn May 2, 2013 at 09:36 #

That’s true! Even in a floor length gown she managed to do that. On this occasion as well! Love this from H2T

I agree with you all 🙂 she looks beautiful and tall, and ever so chic!
