Kate Walsh In Carolina Herrera – 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Kate Walsh In Carolina Herrera - 2013 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

Kate Walsh made a graphic fashion statement on the red carpet of the 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, hosted last night at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.

The ‘Private Practice’ star grabbed stares in a dramatic, black-and-white strapless ball gown from the Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

With the exploded chrysanthemum print and diaphanous layers, the dress had a big, bold and beautiful story to tell. And I loved it for exactly those reasons.

A sleek ponytail, a rosy lip, and just the right amount of sparkle with flower-inspired earrings by Norman Silverman completed this sophisticated entree.

I’m clearly in the minority but I agree with FC–this is a stunning look!! What a gorgeous, feminine, and fun dress. And I love her earrings 🙂

I like the dress, but it kind of washes Kate out. I would prefer something more structured on her.

The gown looks absolutely stunning as presented by the model. I really love its drama. It is so different. The photo of Kate Walsh is not doing it justice. It could be the angle or her pose.

Absolutely ADORE the gown, dramatic, standout, her simple clean styling is working perfectly.

I like the idea of the dress more than its execution. The bold white flower print works nicely on the skirt but not so well on the bodice. Or maybe it’s the cut and transition.

In any case, it’s not especially flattering to Kate and the drama comes across as a bit cheesy.
She still looks nice enough. I certainly wouldn’t call it a disaster!

The dress is quite nice, but she’s not selling it to me like the model is.

The dress is gorgeous and regal but she this must be her worse picture of the night.

This dress is awful. Feel like it’s what Target would come up with if they decided to expand into evening gowns.

Maybe it’s just the angle of the picture, but the dress seems to be bunched up at the bottom. She definitely needed a bolder lip, like classic red. Her waist needed cinching, because she looks like a board.

      I agree with you
