Tong Liya In Valentino – 3rd Beijing International Film Festival

Tong Liya In Valentino - 3rd Beijing International Film Festival

Tong Liya was escorted down the red carpet by her handsome guest at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, China yesterday evening, where they attended the closing ceremony of the 3rd Beijing International Film Festival.

While I am getting a distinct feeling of déjà vu when I see Liya in this Valentino Spring 2013 gown, that doesn’t stop me from being head over heels in love with this gorgeous ornate sheer tulle gown.

Her long-sleeved, buttoned-cuff, belted look features a contrast rounded collar, a contrast beaded-and-embroidered bib with tonal trim, and intricate beaded-and-embroidered embellishments throughout.

A pink lip colour, swept updo, beige Casadei pumps and complementary jewels completed her heavenly look.

If this look has been done before, it’s never been done better! Absolutely LOVE it–so elegant, I love the tulle inset in the skirt. BDOTW for me, and BDOTY potential as well.

She looks like a modern-day Guinevere medieval Asian princess, she has the perfect figure to carry this dress, not many in Hollywood could. Love this on her.

She looks beautiful, BDOTW contender IMO, although I don’t like the shoes and the hairstyle.
This reminds me of Kasia Smutniak’s Valentino Venice dress.

Such a divine look. It has indeed a déjà vu feel to it, but I’m not bothered by that fact. She carries this gown so effortlessly and I love her hair and makeup.

What a gorgeous gown. It suits her statuesque frame. She almost looks regal. I think she carries this dress much better than the model.

While Valentino does repeat styles often she does look like a dream.

Gorgeous dress! Deja vu but so gorgeous.

it might feel like deja vu because it’s a very similar style and colour to the one sammi cheung wore to the hong kong film awards. the only difference is the pattern on the dress, really.

Oh, I’m in love! What a beautiful look! BDOTW!

I am in frickin’ love! It looks so much better on her than the model, that I am willing to overlook those heavy clunky shoes. It’s not a styling triumph, it’s just all about Valentino. The dress is everything.

I agree. I also didn’t look at the shoes until your comment. And I was so taken with the dress that I didn’t mind them still. That DRESS is BEAUTIFUL! Sorry for shouting :)

Beautiful look. FC, her ‘male guest’ is actually Aaron Kwok, easily one of the biggest stars in Asia.
