The Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball was held at the Rockefeller Center in New York City yesterday evening, with most of the attendees wearing a formal gown.
I say most, because Carey Mulligan opted for a tuxedo and here we have Poppy Delevingne wearing a Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2013 look.
The socialite probably attends at least two balls a week, so I am surprised by her decision to wear this floral-print blouse with a fruity, bold multi-print A-line skirt.
You may remember that Katy Perry wore this same skirt to Coachella last week, which further proves that maybe this look wasn’t quite right for the occasion. Do you agree?
Event appropriateness aside, I do love the look – both the contrasting prints and the gold sparkling footwear.

It has sort of won me over.
Those Givenchy sandals are the only thing I really care for here. By copying the runway and wearing the top and skirt together she seems lame and attempting to appear fashionably quirky.
Oh gosh. What an awful look! The silhouette is cute but the prints do NOT work together, the faces on the skirt are really creepy, and to top it all off, it’s so not event-appropriate. Total fail. :/
Too bad it wasn’t right for the event because I do like the look – the contrasting prints are vibrant and exciting, and it all works wonderfully on Poppy with her inspiring shoe choice and beautiful hair.
Love the look, even if it wasn’t event appropriate.
THE SHOES ARE TO DIE FOR!!!!
the shoes are the only thing I like about this.
I do love this look too, but it’s definitely not event appropriate.
I would scream BDOTW for this girl. Love it h2t.
Those faces on the skirt look creepy to me. Wish she wore a solid colored skirt.
Nope wrong look for wrong event.
Well the invitation presumably said ‘ball’, so yeah, I don’t really get this look.
Out of context this look would be a winner, but I can’t help but feel she must have been mortified to see fellow attendees decked out in the likes of Elie Saab and Reem Acra.
I hate this look. This two prints are not working together. Actually I find the prints really awful, especially the one on the skirt.
+1 About the prints…the silhouette is fine but not for this event. I like the shoes alone.
