Salma Hayek In Gucci – Sony Pictures Entertainment CinemaCon Presentation

Salma Hayek In Gucci - Sony Pictures Entertainment CinemaCon Presentation

Salma Hayek attended a Sony Pictures Entertainment presentation highlighting its 2013 films at Caesars Palace during CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Nevada yesterday evening.

While her co-stars dressed down in t-shirts and jeans, the ‘Grown Ups 2’ actress opted to wear a Gucci Spring 2013 silk belt blouse with matching pants for the occasion.

Selecting jasmine-green over the ocean-blue runway look, the actress should’ve considered taking up the hem of her pants an inch or two.

I love the sleek, simple styling on the runway, so therefore I find the large pendant necklace Salma styled with this look at tad bothersome.

Opting to wear her wavy tresses in a simple ponytail, the actress completed her look with gold hooped Jacob & Co. earrings.

Love the color on her. She looks classy and sophisticated. The pants could have been a little shorter but I don’t mind it too much. This is such a good look for her.

Nice color but then pants are ill fitted.

    That necklace is distracting.

Love the colour and the seventies vibe. But that necklace and those ridiculously extra-long pants are just bothering me too much.

+2 This look could have been fun but those two aspects didn’t work. Also the model’s slick hairstyle worked well and kept the look from feeling too dated. I also liked the colro buttoned all the way up it was fun and different.

I agree with you; I prefer the model styling. But the truth is Salma couldn’t wear it that way. Well endowed women (whether real or fake) can’t really button things up like that without distorting the sleek shape of the top and making the lines of the piece look weird. We must keep top buttons on fitted pieces open to create a visual line that is appealing. That is the one alteration to the runway that she made that I understand based on her physique.

Okay, that really makes sense. I do like it unbuttoned too, I thought that they way the model had it was cool and kind of unconventional–but thinking of it now it totally wouldn’t work for Salma.

Illfitting and outdated…i don’t like anything about this look.

I dislike it completely. Way too dated, almost costumey and doesn’t do her any favors. She looks even shorter than she really is. Awful.

This look makes sense if you are really thin and really tall. And that’s not how I’d describe Salma.
A shame really, because she is one of the most gorgeous women in the world, but this really isn’t what she should be wearing.

I love it on the runway, not on her. It’s unflattering, I think you must be very thin to pull it off and she looks even shorter than she is. I’ve never been a fan of her style.

  9. Moxie April 18, 2013 at 15:27 #

The only thing I like about this is the color.

  10. Rebecca Z April 18, 2013 at 16:24 #

The color is great on her, but she is not tall enough to wear this look successfully. Sad, but true. It ages her drastically, particularly with that hair style.

    • Leti April 18, 2013 at 17:07 #

ITA! The color is great, but that the only good part of this look which falls somewhere between costumy and aging. Either, it’s not flattering!

      • Roosje April 18, 2013 at 18:42 #

Exactly. Sometimes you just need to concede you’re not tall enough to pull something off

  11. robbie April 18, 2013 at 17:49 #

love the look on the model it has a retro vibe to it, but not so much on salma she is too curvy to pull it off (imo)

  12. kane April 18, 2013 at 21:03 #

She is not young enough anymore for this not to age her even more, sorry. The model gets away with it just so.

I get the vibe of this vintage inspired pant suit look. It just doesn’t do Ms Hayek any favours. She has a wonderful curvaceous figure, but has trouble dressing for it.

  14. Dhppy April 19, 2013 at 00:54 #

It looks like she went to the old Brady Bunch set and raided Carol’s closet.

    • Alicat April 19, 2013 at 01:56 #

      Lol. Exactly!!
