Andrea Riseborough In David Koma – LAX Airport

Andrea Riseborough In David Koma - LAX Airport

When it comes to airport style, we have seen the likes of Lady Gaga wear an Atelier Versace gown, compared to others like Rihanna who dress down in comfortable sweats.

Andrea Riseborough raised the bar by departing on a flight from LAX yesterday headed for JFK wearing a David Koma Fall 2013 gown.

No, the British actress isn’t becoming a diva à la Mariah Carey; actually, she was scheduled to attend a photocall in New York but the landing time wouldn’t have allowed her time to change on arrival and get to the photocall on time.

British designer David Koma isn’t known for his gowns, but that could be about to change; the likes of Kylie Minogue and Maria Sharapova love to show off their slender pins in his signature micro minis.

Andrea’s gown, which features a nude illusion yoke and panels on the sleeves, is actually a longer version of Look 14 – sans the leather skirt overlay – which took to the runway during London Fashion Week back in February.

I love the styling of the look, which featured red framed shades, a black studded Valentino bag and cream suede Casadei pumps.

Do you like this time-saving look, or do you feel that she should’ve changed into this gown at JFK?

Personally, I’m mildly obsessed with this look, partly because she wore it to the airport and also because red looks so good on her.

She does look great in the red gown. And I love how she somehow makes the gown not look overdressed at the airport. But, I can’t imagine flying from London to NYC in a gown! Yikes! I’d be so uncomfortable by the time I got there, first class or not. But she looks wonderful!

I might have been botherd by the fact that she wore a gown at the airport, but since she hadn’t time to change, I don’t care about that part. I love this look too, especially how she styled it with the shades.

I actually find the dress and the glasses very funny together :D
However, I totallllyyy love the dress and its color on Andrea. Also, I hope she changes the pumps to something different, its a bit jarring with the gown.

I can’t imagine the gown didn’t get creased on the flight. Would it have been that hard to just slip into a public toilet after landing? I’ve tied a sari in a public toilet before.

I like the dress on her but I don’t like her accessories (shoes, bag, earrings and sunglasses).

Hmm, a bit much for a photo call for me, although it does seem more casual than most long dresses with this type of silhouette. Wish it hit her at the knee.

On the plus side, she looks much better in strong clear jewel-toned colors imo. Love the silhouette. I’d like to see her in more structured and streamlined looks like this, less of the flowy and/or strapless dresses.

She looks gorgeous at LAX. Not sure how good she’s going to look at JFK, though. I hope the fabric doesn’t wrinkle.

Who wears a gown to go on a flight??? Is it made of jersey? Anyway, the shorter version looks a lot better. I just can’t get behind this woman’s fashion choices.

GORGEOUS. For a nanosecond I thought it was Victoria Grayson from Revenge :)

porcelain skin + deep dark hair + rich hued dress = PERFECTION

I absolutely LOVE it! It’s so much better than anything she’s worn for this promotour so far. Red is definitely her color. BDOTW contender for me!

It gives her a great silhouette and colour does look amazing on her. Hope to see the runway version too.

Gosh this look is tres chic. Andrea oozes individuality, she carried the outfits on Madonna’s W.E so well too, with great character.
