    strong week for the women.

  2. EmmaWoodhouse April 5, 2013 at 19:35 #

WOW this is a really hard week! For the ladies, I have a HUGE dilemma…
    got to go with
    1. Olga (Marchesa)
    2. Olga (Elie Saab)
    3. Emmy Rossum (Temperley)
    4. Emmy Rossum (Naeem Khan)
    5. Rosario
    6. Michelle Obama

The others I wasn’t so much a fan of, though I loved the color of Gwyneth’s!

For the guys, I went with Tom Cruise, Ryan Gosling, and Gerard Butler.

What a great week!!! Thanks FC :)

Olga for me. I think this was a weak week for choices. Much I did not care for.

  4. nguyen tran gia linh April 5, 2013 at 19:52 #

I Vote Gwyneth Paltrow + Ryan Gosling

  5. Yeliz April 5, 2013 at 20:10 #

Olga Kurylenko in Marchesa (this stunning look even made it to my BDOTY list). Runners-up are again Olga in Elie Saab and Emmy Rossum in Temperley London.

My best dressed man is Ryan Gosling (*swoon*) in Worn By. It’s not even a red carpet look but who cares? He always looks perfectly handsome.

    Have a beautiful weekend, FC!

#1 – Olga Kurylenko in Marchesa.

Ryan Gosling is hot, but he’s just wearing a t-shirt and jeans. For me it came down to Gerard Butler and Tom Cruise. Gotta love a 3 piece suit, so I voted for Tom.

    • Noemi April 5, 2013 at 20:40 #

I agree with you. Ryan is beautiful and stylish as usual, but Tom Cruise is very elegant, I voted for him (and for Olga, too).

  7. dee April 5, 2013 at 20:23 #

Olga in Marchesa and Tom cruise.

  8. BelleFleur April 5, 2013 at 20:25 #

HAHAHA I find the high vote for RG hilarious considering his outfit was not to impress–that’s how effortlessly good-looking he is :).

  9. adrian April 5, 2013 at 20:33 #

Who-da thunk? two frilly, pretty dresses are winning.

As for the guys, I wonder if these polls don’t have the same problem as American Idol white guy with guitar problem (WGWG). Eddie Redmayne and Ryna Gosling could wear pillow cases and win best dressed. Young, cute WG’s seem to win overwhelmingly. Not accusing anyone of anything, just making an observation. With both predictable best-dressed choices and predictable guy choices, I just wonder if the public is just speaking or if implicit/unconscious bias is speaking. Sorry to get all “racial/fashion theory” on a fashion blog. I’ll spare you the trouble of telling me and take it down a notch. It’s just a fashion site. Everybody looks great (though Robert Downey, Jr? Really? that outfit is an embarrassment to outfits).

    • Nat39 April 5, 2013 at 22:21 #

I understand what you are saying but this is not a particularly strong week, there are no really good strong chic/fashion-forward (etc…) looks, so I don’t mind a predictable pretty choice on this occasion.
As for the men, it’s really frustrating to see Gosling winning in a Macaulay Culkin t-shirt. I understand people love him but there has to be a reasonable limit in choosing best dressed methinks.

    • Nicky April 7, 2013 at 03:01 #

“Eddie Redmayne and Ryan Gosling could wear pillow cases and win best dressed”

My thoughts exactly. If the faces were covered up and we were solely judging fashion, the “man in the t-shirt and jeans” would not be dominating the men in suits.

      • Noemi April 7, 2013 at 21:18 #

Maybe Ryan and Eddie dress better than most of the others, pillow or not. They just have a great style.

  10. Fe April 5, 2013 at 20:40 #

I don’t believe Ryan is winning this poll. This is getting ridiculous.

  11. ErrorFlynn April 5, 2013 at 21:05 #

Ryan Gosling in that t-shirt?! I know he’s hot and everything, but that’s just a freaking t-shirt!

    • dee April 6, 2013 at 22:46 #

He’s not even that hot to me.

    • Jai April 7, 2013 at 20:47 #

Yes, but why does the man who wins always have to be wearing a suit? Good fashion isn’t just about donning a shirt and tie.

      • Nat39 April 7, 2013 at 22:19 #

It doesn’t always have to be a formal wear at all but this Ryan’s look here is not even a good stylish casual look and does not even qualify in a chic streetstyle category and had no business to be on the poll to begin with if you ask me, never mind winning.

        • Nat39 April 7, 2013 at 22:19 #

..this is far from being ‘good fashion’

  12. amparo April 5, 2013 at 21:34 #

I think Rosario Dawson’s dress is horrible.

  13. Ruth April 5, 2013 at 21:36 #

Remove Paltrow and this would have been a hard decision.

  14. Nat39 April 5, 2013 at 21:39 #

Olga Kurylenko in Marchesa – a beautiful romantic look that worked heavenly on Olga and is also more memorable and unusual, she finally delivered a standout memorable look (plus she is on-trend with black and white), it was a more major moment that I wanted to see from her. Her Elie Saab look is lovely but it doesn’t make this much of an impact and is rather typical – we’ve seen this lady-like church-going lace-detailed dresses in a boring shape/cut and ‘little girly’ colour, it is certainly a lovely look but nothing to get this much excited about and will be quickly forgotten, as far as I’m concerned, and I think it’s her Marchesa look that Olga will be remembered for.

My runner-up is Rosario Dawson – loved the unusual sophisticated shape and the colour of her dress.

Tom Cruise with the solid look for the men.

  15. Elaine2 April 5, 2013 at 22:10 #

Gwynnie looks like Jane Jetson in that purple VB dress. LOL!

  16. Amy April 5, 2013 at 22:25 #

Olga in marchesa is my pick!
runners up : Gwynnie in VB, Emmy in that fringe dress

  17. Marybeth April 5, 2013 at 22:37 #

    Easy.
Olga Kurylenko in Marchesa wins hands down for me.

My runner-up is Rosario Dawson, whose beautifully styled look is both interesting and simple.
Honorable mention to Emmy Rossum in Temperley and Olga in Elie Saab for giving us two lovely, ultra-feminine looks this week.

Among the men, Tom Cruise is an easy winner for me, with Aaron Eckhart as a distant but respectable runner-up. I also like Gerard Butler’s look, though I think his pants are just a bit too long.

  18. TeaAtTwo April 6, 2013 at 01:58 #

A bit sad about no Jada in running. Between her, Olga and Emmy there have been good outfits to look at this week.
Though Ryan and Gerard are the ones I fancy. I give the men’s title to Tom for the best fit and a good three piece.

  19. MaddyEliza April 6, 2013 at 03:28 #

Oooh, this is REALLY difficult!! I LOVE both Olga’s Elie Saab look and her Marchesa look, and Rosario Dawson deserves a mention too! She looks fab!! This was such a fantastic week. I love all the looks in this poll except Brit Marling in Viktor & Rolf; asymmetrical hemlines are a big no-no in my book–and there are so many other outfits that could have been included in this poll as well! I love a good fashion week. :)
As for the men, I don’t get the inclusion of Ryan Gosling either. He’s just wearing a weird t-shirt. And I don’t know who to choose for this one either…Gerard Butler looks pretty perfect, but I love me a three-piece suit, so Tom Cruise is up there as well. And Josh Duhamel–it’s so great when a guy can do a casual look well, AND colour…this poll is a tough one too! Whew…what a crazy yet awesome week! :)

  20. Jackie April 6, 2013 at 04:26 #

Wow. Josh Duhamel does not deserve to be on here. Those pants fit terribly.

  21. Regina April 6, 2013 at 13:26 #

Why is Ryan G included and why is he winning? This is about the clothes, not about how hot he is.

    • Moxie April 7, 2013 at 02:48 #

      +1

    • Rashmi April 8, 2013 at 08:02 #

      +2.

  22. Ala April 6, 2013 at 15:58 #

I’ve discovered that it seems like the stylists for men are telling all of them to pose with one hand in their pockets to appear “casual” cool… that in some instances, are just awkward. This discovery for some reason, has made me really laugh out loud.

  23. Alissa April 7, 2013 at 03:26 #

I’m definitely loving any & everything that Olga Kurylenko is wearing lately!

  24. Ann April 7, 2013 at 10:34 #

Gwyneth Paltrow in Victoria Beckham and Tom Cruice were clear winners this week

  25. Debbie April 7, 2013 at 12:48 #

let’s face it, Ryan Gosling will be best dressed in paper towels.

  26. eleanorbvvv April 7, 2013 at 13:45 #

OHHHHHH poeple only voting Ryan Gosling because he is hot…. boringgg!!!!

  27. AnderBoBo April 7, 2013 at 14:35 #

Both of Olga’s looks are in another stratosphere compared to her competition, I voted for the Elie Saab.

  28. Leo April 7, 2013 at 15:25 #

So torn between Emmy Rossum in Naeem Khan and Rosario Dawson in Bottega Veneta.

    • Mol April 8, 2013 at 00:28 #

Me too. I eventually chose Emmy in Naeem Khan, I can see it’s not too popular a choice, but I love the way she looks in it.

  29. Rashmi April 8, 2013 at 08:08 #

Olga in Marchesa! she looked totally divine and outclassed her Elie Saab. The next choice would be Emmy in Naeem Khan and Brit Marling in Viktor & Rolf.

For guys, it will be Gerrard, Tom and Robert Downey Jr.
