Nieves Alvarez In Moschino & Escada – Solo Moda

Nieves Alvarez was back hosting her fashion show, Solo Moda, this weekend.

On Saturday, she wore looks from the Moschino Spring 2013 collection.

Her first orange-and-white frock looks like a saucy apron. Even with those orange Louboutins I can’t find this look appealing.

I do, however, love her second look, a striking blue-and-white striped top and skirt. The fresh nautical stripes are given a modern twist with a pair of orange Jimmy Choo ‘Taste’ sandals.

A lace LBD with tulle-accented shoulders is yet another sultry look. The silver embellished Moschino ankle boots unfortunately weigh the look down for me.

On Sunday, she opted for looks from Escada’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

I like the mix of colours and the simplicity of the first and third look. The middle look would’ve worked for me had she ditched the blazer.

Being a tall girl myself, a cropped blazer like that appears to be too small, especially when paired with a longer top.

A bit of boring week in comparison to her all previous looks, I like the last one only.

I would like 3 and 6 if they were longer. Nothing to really like here imo.

I like the first Escada look. The white top and blue pants.

Agreed. Its absolutely effortless casual chic.

The blue and white striped dress is the worst thing I’ve ever seen on this highly sophisticated woman. It is awkward for her body type, particularly in the bodice and neckline.

A bit of a miss for me. Only approve of the LBD, which is weird given I always prefer colour and a dash of quirk.

#4 & 5 would be great street looks.

#2 (blue & white stripes) makes her look like she’s pregnant or that she stuffed a pillow in there. Could just be the angle of the shot or the lighting, but it is unfortunate.

Not wowed by any look, but the third Escada look is my favourite.

Agree with the others that the third Escada look is the only one I really like–the first is fine, but could be anyone. The Moschino pieces are too young for her in my opinion. They look like they are really designed for teenagers.

Ditto. The 3rd Escada is the best. The top row Moschino looks are all way too young, short and tiny for her.

The last one is the best, its the most appropriate for her age. I wish they stopped dressing her in tiny or reallly clashy coloured things, its so try hard

A very subdued weekend of outfits. I feel the top row looks would have had more impact if they were all longer lengths. Can’t really knock her shoe choice though.

    Look #1- NO! You’re not 9-years-old
Look #2- NO! You look like you’re expecting
Look #3- NO! You’re not Kim Catrall.
Look #5- NO! You’re not in the 80’s.
