Brit Marling In Viktor & Rolf – ‘The Company You Keep’ New York Premiere

Brit Marling In Viktor & Rolf - 'The Company You Keep' New York Premiere

Brit Marling attended ‘The Company You Keep’ New York premiere held at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City yesterday evening.

The classic beauty opted for an on-trend black-and-white look from Viktor & Rolf’s Spring 2013 collection.

Opting to keep the styling of her pleated, padded-shoulder dress very simple, she added Rupert Sanderson ‘Harting’ sandals, with her luscious golden waves swept to one side and a matte pink lip colour providing the finishing touches.

You know I don’t usually gush over simple, non-embellished looks; however, this simple minimalistic look is divinity personified.

Brit totally sells this look to me.

I don’t know her, but she looks amazing here. This is a case of less is more, I love this H2T.

I don’t like her at all and she always looks so boring, but this dress is quite pretty.

    She looks ok.

The dress looks like it has a split personality. I am trying to love it but cannot. Her hair and makeup are beautiful though.

It’s simple but suits her. I like it.

The dress is simple and doen’t overwhelm her. When I look at the pic I see her rather than the dress which is fine since she’s so beautiful and classy.
    Great look for me.

I think I would like this better with a belt. Maybe a gold belt.

It just looks too big on her. Maybe a belt would have helped.

She made an effort, but the dress is big and floppy and stark. So, no.

I love minimalist looks and I love black and white together, especially in blocks. My problem with this look is that the bodice of the dress is too unfitted and unflattering to both Brit and the model. The 1980’s shoulders add to the appearance of the dress being too big. (A belt would not help since it is not the waist that needs defining here.)

I do think she looks great here though. Despite the dress’s faults, her styling and beauty win the day.

Even though the dress does appear to be a bit big for her, I’m sold on this look as well.
