Natalie Dormer In Carven & L’Agence – ‘Games of Thrones’ San Francisco & Seattle Premiere

Natalie Dormer In Carven & L’Agence - ‘Games of Thrones’ San Francisco & Seattle Premiere

Natalie Dormer attended two back-to-back premieres for HBOs ‘Games of Thrones’ wearing the same Nicholas Kirkwood black suede frill platform pumps.

San Francisco Premiere: I wasn’t so crazy about the pumps with her youthful Carven Pre-Fall 2013 brush-stroke dress; a coral or blue hue shoe would gone down really well here. I’m guessing a solid shoe was selected on this occasion because she opted for a multi-coloured and textured clutch.

Seattle Premiere: On Thursday night she opted for a very chic look. Natalie was almost a totally different woman wearing a bordeaux L’Agence drop shoulder backless dress. The shoes are perfect on this occasion.

Two premieres, two looks, one pair of shoes; which look works better for you?

I prefer the Carven look (minus the pumps) but can’t get over that same pursed smirk on her face in each photo….

Her facial expression is working lesser for me than any of her outfits. What is she not impressed?

A new meme – Natalie Dormer is not impressed…

LOL I thought the same thing!
I like both outfits, and the shoes, though they go better with the second one.

The Carven dress is so fresh and youthful, those pumps absolutely do not belong there, they completely weigh down this light dress while the multi-coloured clutch is competing with it, both the clutch and the shoes should’ve been in a solid complementary colour (I’d go with a coral shoe and light cream clutch).
The pumps work perfectly with the 2nd dress, but the wrinkled skirt is distracting, and the look feels rather mature and mumsy.

My immediate thought was that a bright blue sandal would be great but your suggestion of coral is even better. Well, I’d settle for a black or cream sandal over those heavy pumps!

What is up with her mouth??? I am so distracted I don’t even care about the clothes.

She has a naturally crooked mouth, it is more noticeable when she purses her lips, but when she smiles as well. It’s like Keira Knightley’s locked jaw xD
I personally like her pouty lips :)

Love both dresses, but wouldn’t wear those shoes with the carven dress, i’d prefer a nude/coral sandal.

If her mouth is naturally crooked, you would think she would take the time in front of a mirror to find out the best way to smile or purse her lips to avoid looking like McKayla Maroney.

She’s a human being and a wonderful actress and person. Treat her with some respect.

+1 – people are so snarky and unkind.

  6. Anj March 22, 2013 at 18:17 #

I’m sorry- I just can’t. Her face is too distracting for me to look at anything else. Who does she think she is, McKayla Maroney??

  7. Beth Rodrigues March 22, 2013 at 18:24 #

What’s with the face? Was she wearing clothes?

After googling her a bit I realised she doesn’t need a stylist, she needs a mouthlist :)

I’m really bothered by her facial expression, it’s far away from looking nice. Her Carven look is my favourite from the neck down.

  10. Jessica March 22, 2013 at 22:55 #

She looks beautiful no matter what she wears! But I prefer the second dress

  11. Christina March 23, 2013 at 20:02 #

I absolutely love both dresses but the shoes indeed only go with the second outfit. I think that she is doing great style-wise; she just needs to fine-tune her accessory choices. I agree that her facial expression is somewhat distracting but it shows a bit of personality too.

The colours of the first dress work better for her, but I like the fit of the second dress. I think ill go with the first dress
