Carrie Underwood attended the 46th annual CMA Awards in Nashville, Tennessee wearing a Reem Acra gown from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection.
This gown is everything we would expect from Carrie: embellished, pretty and floaty.
She styled her look with a Swarovski clutch and, despite the light colour of her gown, she opted for heavy kohl-rimmed eyes.
Zhang Ziyi wore the same gown back in late December while attending the Chinese Music Charts Concert in Taipei, Taiwan.
Opting for Sergio Rossi pumps and dazzling Bulgari earrings, I much prefer her styling with a simple updo as opposed to Carrie’s curly pageant ‘do.
The updo is much more sophisticated and gives the look a cleaner finish.

The infill for the front of Zhang Ziyi’s gown is wrinkled. I wonder if she got it from one of those “pack of three modesty panels” places.
Carrie’s look has nothing to do with fashion, whether dress, hair or makeup, but on her own (country) terms she looks good.
Zhang’s more modest version with her sophisticated styling wins for me. She was one of my BDOTY contenders last year, so it’s a no brainer.
