Your best dressed of the week, Selena Gomez, was back out promoting her latest movie, ‘Spring Breakers’, on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ last night.
Dressed in black, the actress wore an Emilio Pucci Fall 2013 black dress featuring sheer polka, sequin and lace panels.
To add a touch of sophistication to the look, she donned a Dolce & Gabbana black blazer with an animal-print lining which was longer than her dress.
Black Brian Atwood ‘Nico’ pumps and layered gold Melinda Maria rings gave her look an edge, as did her high ponytail.
While some of you are still on the fence with her transitional look, I have to say this is yet another home run for me. As always, it feels natural and not as forced and hurried as most teen stars when they make that leap from child star to adult star.

What makes the look for me is her attitude. She appears confident and relaxed. A beautiful and elegant young woman. Keep it up!
Overall positive look except the skirt trim should be closer to knees and/or below jacket.
I saw some pictures of the dress (up close). I wasn’t impressed, to many mesh layering (even the sleeves had some sheer thing going on). and the sequins make it look tacky
ITA. I’m one of the few that thinks that most of the clothes she wears is just mature for her. She looks like teenage playing dress-up.
I really like this look.
Oh I am loving the new Selena! This is again a perfect from me. She is oozing confidence!
+1
Love her style!
Nice silhouette, indeed.
I wish she would tone the foundation down a bit. Such heavy make-up ages her.
As a lover of polka dots, sequins and lace, it pains me to say this–but I think this dress is super trashy. I like blazer and her hair, even the super simple shoes work–but imagine if she’d worn a royal blue Roland Mouret fitted sheath instead. That would be grownup without the sleaze factor.
+1
on the interview she is without the blazer, and you really can see that the blazer is really saving the look.
she looks really pretty though.
She looks beautiful
I like it.
The dress is too busy. It isn’t bad in the far away shot, but the close-up is awful.
Wonder how she could sit for an interview in a dress that short without showing more than anyone needs to see. Otherwise, it’s OK.
My thoughts exactly. How does she sit in something so short?
+1 I thought exactly the same thing
+2
speak on it.
This has got to be one of the best tween to adult transitions Ive seen in a long time. Selena makes it seem just so natural whereas in other cases its contrived when they go from 0 to 100.
She needs to give her co-star Vanessa Hudgens some tips asap.
Love her style without the blazer. She is 20 years old and looks great.
Selena looks drop dead gorgeous, she makes black look sexy!!
I’m usually not a member of the “this is way too short” brigade but this time around, I have to admit that this outfit was a terrible idea for a sit-down interview. I’ve seen pics of her on Letterman and yeah… no.
+1 agree
She looks great. However, she still looks like a little girl to me…and she will look this way to me for a very long time. She just has a baby face. (not a bad thing).
The pumps and jacket are lovely ,what concerns me is the number of mesh panels, the sleeves are still fine but the keyhole is too big!
Um, is no-one else seeing the ‘Walk of Shame’ vibe here?
It kinda looks like she threw his tux jacket over her shoulders as she shot back to her apartment the next morning! That dress, while lovely, belongs in a night setting.
