Katie Holmes In Dolce & Gabanna – The New York Observer 25th Anniversary Party

Katie Holmes In Dolce & Gabanna - The New York Observer 25th Anniversary Party

Katie Holmes attended The New York Observer 25th Anniversary Party at Four Seasons Restaurant in New York City yesterday evening.

Striking a slightly awkward pose, the actress wore a Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2013 black dress for the occasion.

Her raffia-effect embroidered tulle dress, which she nipped in at the waist with a black leather belt, was styled with a spaghetti-strap top for extra coverage.

Keeping the look effortlessly simple, she opted for neutral makeup, a gold bracelet and Valentino open-toe t-bar sandals to complete her look.

I have been excited about Katie’s style since the Katie-Posh years, but I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I do actually like this look.

Simple and elegant, without the usual bore factor.

This is the first look which I love from Kate since her Elie Saab Vanity Fair Oscar Party look.

The best she looked style wise in a long long time.

Not mind blowing but she looks nice.

She looks fine here but remember the days around about when she first started dating Tom Cruise and she just looked amazing all the time with that cute bob?… And was in that Miu Miu campaign? She is just so uninspiring and could put fish to sleep with her style these days.

Wow she looks great! I think she actually got burnt out from being so 24/7 ultra glamour a few years ago, hopefully this is a sign that her fashion spark has been reignited!

Beautiful dress, but not all that memorable. Horrible posing… she’s slouched over.

    Love this look.
The dress is so cute, and THANK GOD she lined it. I cannot stand those “see through dresses showing off your grandma panties” anymore!

The dress is lovely but she isn’t rocking it, she looks uncomfortable, i would have picked different shoes though

I love this dress and I’m so glad it’s lined. If the shoes are sparkly I’m okay with them, but if not, I’d like some more color in that area.

    Too long.

She looks lovely! It’s not sensational but it’s a big improvement over her last couple outings
