Continuing her chic streak, Nina Dobrev strutted out a trendsetting statement at the second annual 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon on Wednesday in California, hosted by ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ and Jimmy Choo.
‘The Vampire Diaries’ starlet attended the event with her stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, who also looks after Bradley Cooper, Jason Clarke, Armie Hammer, Krysten Ritter, Chris Evans, Ian Somerhalder and Joel Edgerton.
The actress was red-haute in her Max Mara one-shoulder jumpsuit. The colour was chosen in honor of Ilaria and Nina’s first outfit together—that jaw-dropping red Donna Karan gown from the 2011 Emmy Awards, which really put Nina on the fashion map.
Those Jimmy Choo ‘Biel’ wedges also had a golden moment, bringing a shot of metallic shine to this ensemble as did her Devi Kroell clutch.
This time, a red lippie didn’t come out to play. In keeping with the more casual, daytime vibe, Nina went for a lighter, nude pout and straight, side-parted locks.
Via twitter Ilaria said that she picked this red look in honour of her first look together with Nina. This was the red Donna Karan Atelier gown which is in the RCFA Hall of Fame.

I like this look but her pose is bothering me again.
She has no clue how to pose, over half the time she ends up looking like a bobble head .
As for the outfit, it makes her look huge on top. Its also making her legs super short and chunky. The jumpsuit should have been tailored better and I would like to have seen her hair pulled back in a nice loose bun at the nape of her neck because right now, it looks unfinished.
I love the shoes.
What’s wrong with her pose?
Olivia Wilde’s post makes me cringe. Nina is a gorgeous startlet.
she looks amazing. wouldn’t have thought she could work a jumpsuit, but she’s doing exactly that, and a bold colored one at that. two thumbs up way up.
How does Ilaria not have more high-profile female clients after seeing the amazing job she has done with Nina?!
She styles Jayma Mays from Glee also.
Nice but I cannot get on board with them shoes.
Love it!
i really like this but i just can’t get over her stance. it’s awkward. and makes her look bigger in the chest area than she really is. i would have liked to seen her hair pulled up in a punchy pony with some locks left to frame her face.
there’s something wrong here and i can’t put my finger on it, it’s just odd
I really like this, H2T.
+1
This is a really terrible jumpsuit. I am actually surprised this isn’t actually vintage and those shoes aren’t helping with this daytime disco look.
I like Nina so much, but i don’t like it. I just can’t perceive her in this outfit :C
Who could forget that Donna Karan gown moment? Certainly not me. I still swoon when I remember. Flawless, fabulous and totally unexpected.
About this jumpsuit, I just like it. Could’ve been better, could’ve been worse. The shoes are greatly chosen, though.
I think this BDOTW worthy.
I don’t usually like jumpsuits, but Nina makes me love this outfit. Hair, shoes, and clutch are all great too.
Jumpsuits are spectacular. I’ve been on board ever since Beyonce at the Grammy’s. But I despise the fact that they are virtually only made for tall women and the styles never come in petite sizes. It’s not like a pair of long jeans or a dress that you can just hem. It’s the torso area that looks off.
