Kasia Smutniak attended the ‘Benvenuto Presidente’ photocall at Cinema Adriano in Rome, Italy yesterday afternoon.
The Polish actress, who took Venice Film Festival by storm last year, was back to wearing her favourite brand: Valentino.
Her black Spring 2013 dress with an A-line silhouette features a nude lace bib with a reverse collar, slanted pockets and puffed shoulders with dainty faux-button sleeves.
Black patent-leather pumps with a gold heel completed her ladylike look.

The white version seems much more striking, but as far as LBDs go, this certainly is an interesting one.
I Agree. I like the white version better but she looks great here.
Agreed.
Also agreed!
Correct, she is polish actress, not italian
If I blink my eyes for a second while looking at this picture I can swear this is Keira Knightley in another Valentino piece. That said, I prefer the black version. A bun or any other kind of updo would’ve been a better choice here but I still think she looks gorgeous.
And as a huge fan of Keira, I have to say that I would love to see her wearing that dress.
What it is, is ugly and infantilizing.
Yes, she should dress like Rihana …puh leeesee..
I totally agree, carolina
She’s polish, but she lives in Italia.
Kasia is actually a Polish-born actress who lives in Italy, she’s not Italian.
I prefer the black version – it looks a bit more grown-up/sophisticated in black. Would’ve preferred a sleek low bun but Kasia wears this dress nicely, I like it on her.
I don’t like either version.
She looks chic and great.
This falls flat to me, mostly because of her hair. And I also prefer the white version of this dress.
When I first glanced at this I thought she looked like a young Julia Roberts. I love it. She looks polished and demure but chic at the same time.
The dress looks a bit young for her; the white might have been a better option. But thank you, FC, for reminding me of that gorgeous Valentino gown at the Venice Film Festival. That was an absolutely gorgeous look for her.
Taylor Swift recently wore this in white for her Instyle cover (sorry for the gossipy story link, I chose it for the included pic)

I love this On Kasia, and actually the simple shoes and hair tucked behind the ears works well here. This simply stunning, polished look is fabulous!
At first glance, I thought she was Diane Kruger. She looks effortless in this.
Great dress and I love the black version but her hair is severely lacking.
