Jessica Chastain may have lost out to Jennifer Lawrence in the Best Actress in a Leading Role award, but fashion-wise she came out on top.
The ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ star started off her campaign wearing a Prada gown to the Critics’ Choice Awards. As we know, Prada don’t make the best gowns, but I loved the crimson colour and her effortless styling.
Her Calvin Klein look was by far my least favourite. It was the only dud in what was otherwise a perfect run.
Jessica’s Erdem dress was the best look at the Academy Luncheon. If I had to pick my favourite look overall it would come down to her Roland Mouret BAFTA gown and her Armani Prive gown at the Oscars.
The Roland Mouret gown was my favourite; as you know, I adore an electric-blue gown.

Totally agree! Such a flawless look.
Yes, the Oscars my absolutely favorite. She looked stunning.
Ditto.
The beauty of it was in its subtlety. How many typical electric blue structured RM gowns we’ve seen…Her Oscars Armani Prive was by far the most refined look in beauty and glamour, one of the main hightlights this award season.
Rouland Mouret
But I think my all time favourite from Jessica is this amazing Preen dress that I LUST:

Its Bafta’s Roland Mouret hands down. That gown fits her so perfectly and she looks gorgeous in it.
my fave was the sag awards
I love her in deep blue gown BAFTA.
That one colour I am in love recently.
BAFTA. The blue sings with her coloring and the gown is lovely.
Roland Mouret without a doubt.
Armani Prive. That’s a jaw-dropper and one of my favorite red carpet looks from recent years.
I did also love the Roland Mouret
Why can’t I see the polls? It says “unable to upload poll”.
The blue Roland Mouret gown, amazing color, perfect fit.
The poll won’t show up for me, so I’ll just share my thoughts.
1. The Roland Mouret. It was BDOTY worthy!
2. Armani Prive–Divine! She always works the Oscars.
3. Erdem. A stand out look despite the fact that it’s not a gown.
4. Alexander McQueen–would be lovely but it’s just a little tight.
Wasn’t a fan of the other three (though the Prada’s ok), but she did have a good run!
BAFTAs
Both the Mouret and the Armani Prive are on my BDOTY contender list. That way, I’ll have the rest of the year to decide which one I love more, lol. Also adored the Erdem, a beautiful day look.
Poll not showing up for me either, but like many of you, my favorite was her Armani Prive at the Oscars followed by the Roland Mouret and the McQueen/
The blue Roland Mouret is easily my favorite. Perfectly gorgeous!
I agree with everyone who thought the Oscar’s Armani Prive look was flawless and elegant. It was very beautiful— but not as flattering to her as that electric blue, IMO.
I love the Erdem, despite the shoes. I also love the McQueen, despite the necklace and perhaps a less than perfect fit in the midsection.
The Prada is ill-fitting and looks cheap. The Dior is unflattering — I’m not sure ANYONE would look good in that bodice. The less said about the head-to-toe Calvin Klein disaster the better.
All in all, it was hit-or-miss for Jessica in this awards season, but the two huge hits at the BAFTAs and Oscars outshine all else. They are what we will remember, especially when BDOTY comes around!
My faves were from the BAFTA’s & Oscars
I’m glad we get to make this vote, and for me it is definitely the Armani Prive at the Oscars. The fabric was unusual and gorgeous on her, everything was perfect!
Oscars Armani Prive easily, it was the most refined look in its beauty and glamour of all, absolutely divine in its subtlety. The unusual subtle copper colour with the delicate web over it was what made the look, we’ve seen too many typical electric blue gowns of this kind.
The BAFTAs and the Oscars looks.
The Roland Mouret, hands down. The Erdem one is pretty too. But I just realized I disliked her Awards season style more than I disliked Jennifer’s.
I’m torn between the BAFTAs and the Oscars
She was equally stunning, in different ways, during these two events
Easy choice: the blue dress (bafta), it’s a stunner!!
I think the blue is stunning on her skin tone, alot of the other dresses drain her
