Mia Wasikowska wore another Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2013 frock while making a guest appearance on Jimmy Fallon, which was taped at the Rockefeller Center in New York City on Wednesday to promote her latest flick, ‘Stoker’.
On this occasion she selected a black-and-grey knee-length cocktail dress with a peplum detail at the waist.
Once again, this is a great look, but it feels too mature for Mia.
I’m looking forward to her going back to fun looks, like the Christopher Kane dress she wore earlier in this promo tour.
Black pumps completed her look.

Once again, this is another dull and boring look.
She makes an Elie Saab dress look boring again.
In the lookbook, this is stylish and cool but on her it looks dull.
I’m starting to think that she can’t make anything work, everything ends up looking so dull and drab on her. This could’ve looked a bit better with the sexy sandal, makeup and hairstyle. With her dull hair and makeup and conservative shoes, it all looks so drab, aging and office-like/conservative.
+ 1

That sums it up.
Srsly
The dress itself isn’t mature, it even has the potential to be sassy. But Mia’s styling is just dreadful and takes the fun away from it.
Totally agree. The dress is great, but her styling–especially the hair–just ruins it.
So boring
I know it’s just a split-second frame, but that is one awkward, galumphing stride–that dress didn’t stand a chance.
+1
Still liking her hair. Makeup looks awesome. I agree, however, that the dress and shoes do look wrong/too old for her.
Responding to one of the comments above, though, Mia doesn’t make clothes look bad. She hasn’t chopped off parts of the dress (see Ms. Klum at Oscars) or obscured it with poor styling. These clothes just don’t work for her. She has a quirkier sense of style that might be harder to accommodate, but that’s okay. I thought the Christopher Kane look was quite nice on her.
Her Proenza Schouler look for Seoul was even better.
A sad choice. She is too long waisted for this dress and the length and shape make her look hippy.
I just don’t think this cut suits her. I’d like to see her emulate Kirsten Dunst and even Emma Watson in her choices.
More Miu Miu, Pilotto, Christopher Kane, Prabal Gurung please!
She could pull off quite a few McQ looks as well- maybe a bit of a brand ambassador?
23 years old and looks like 50!
Such a terrible look, as always
LOL
that hairstyle really is ageing.
another boring and ageing dress, and terrible haircut…and she doesnt seem to care what she’s wearing…:/
We all need to dress in a way which suits the body shape we’ve been blessed with. Mia has not learned this – or she is getting some very poor advice.
I am yet to come across a look from Mia that I like on this tour.
