Keeping her look simple and classic, Mary Elizabeth Winstead joined a host of celebs on the red carpet at the 2013 Vanity Fair party on Sunday at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Hollywood, California.
She wore an Andrew Gn Spring 2013 origami gown with a white bodice and black voluminous skirt.
Keeping the styling simple was key to this look’s success, as was the skirt being the perfect length. Any longer and the look would’ve overwhelmed her.
She opted for sleek Marcel waves and a black clutch, with subtle jewels and a pretty pink lip colour providing the finishing touches.

Who Was Your Best Dressed At The amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala?

I love this collection! I’m glad to see it on the RC and that Mary wears the dress so well. Also, her lipstick is fabulous!
It’s a tricky look to pull off but the gown is so perfectly fitted, it works really well on her. Perhaps would’ve liked it a bit better with a belt (not necessarily the same as on the model) but it works fine without it.
+1
A bit bland. I certainly would have prefered it with the belt.
I agree, a belt here would not be remiss. Preferably something jazzier than the runway version.
I really like this. I would have preferred this with a belt.
Agree
absolutely stunning and classic!
What a great dress. She wears it well. Jennifer Aniston would look great in this, too.
This gown could’ve overwhelmed the wearer, but that’s not the case here. Mary pulls this off perfectly. The only thing I’m missing here is the belt, but I love the rest.
love love love it!
Great look.
Wish she’d kept the belt and the neckline didn’t plunge so low (I though the same with the model). Otherwise, love the retro silhouette–perfectly fitted and perfect length.
She pulls it off nicely.
even though it’s black & white i think the dress is very different from a lot of others at this party. it’s classic and yet has a refreshing quality about it. and that may be so because mary wears it so very well. the pink lipstick is a very nice touch.
Great look, can’t help but wish she kept the belt though. Love the lip colour!
