As the youngest Academy Award nominee ever, Quvenzhane Wallis walked the red carpet at the 2013 Oscars on Sunday in Los Angeles.
The nine-year-old wore a navy tulle Giorgio Armani design embellished with black beading. Her princess-style dress was accessorized with a floor-grazing shaw, a sparkly headband, and drop earrings.
One of her more stand out accents was her puppy purse, which was designed after her own dog.

Ahh!! I love it!! She looks so adorable!! LOVE that she wore a floor-length dress and I love love love the giant smile on her face. She must feel like such a princess.
What a darling.
Her smile just lights up the red carpet–love it! THe dress is lovely on her, I love the color! The shawl is a bit overwhelming, but it’s a very cute look.
She is really cute. She looks so unfazed.
She’s adorable but this felt like too much. She looked like a little girl in a much older woman’s gown, Armani’s too mature a label for a little girl. Wish she’d saved her indie spirit dress for tonight. Her interviews are priceless though, so cute.
Absolutely adorable. Best accessory is that smile, hands down.
From what we’ve seen before, we know little Q loves sparkles and frilly dresses, so I confess I’m a bit disappointed here. As Moja31 says, this looks too much like a miniaturized version of a mature woman’s gown and shawl.
I love the hair, the earrings, and the puppy bag. I just wish she had worn a girly party dress to go with them.
(Then again, she’s so cute she could have shown up in an old raincoat and still delighted us all!)
The shaw is overwhelming her a bit, but she looks so adorable nonetheless.
The custom David Meister dresses she wore to other awards were so much better than this. More famous brands aren’t necessarily better.
The shawl is overwhelming her and the dress is a little too voluminous. I love her grin and her puppy purse though.
Too cute for words.
I can’t get past her smile in the close-up. She just lights up and is so radiant and beautiful. She should be so proud of herself, she is amazing!
The best part of this dress is that when she was asked on the red carpet about her dress, she said she chose it because it was sparkly and poufy. Armani never even came up.
She’s a total doll.
On a night when so many women forgot to have their hair done, she stands out as beautifully well coifed. The rich color of the gown works well on her, too. Very nicely done.
So adorable!
