Jennifer Hudson performed at the 2013 Oscars at the Dolby Theater on Sunday night, but before she did, she made a fashion-forward statement on the red carpet.
The singer/actress/spokeswoman wore a design from Roberto Cavalli Couture.
Jennifer looked stunning in an animal-like printed sequin gown that shimmered in a wide range of blue hues. The curve-hugging dress also wowed with a thigh-high center slit that showed off the singer’s blue peep-toe shoes. Jennifer further styled her dress with dramatic drop earrings and a blue, beaded cylindrical clutch.
I’m loving Jennifer’s all-blue look. Are you?

Ahh I love it!! The dress is AMAZING and she looks so good!!
Loved everything but the hair. This would have been amazing with a sleek bob.
I am not a fan of this look, mostly due to the hair it covers up her gorgeous earrings, plus. The gown is very powerful, so the hair cannot be in the way. I would’ve preferred for the hair to be in a slick ponytail with the bangs clipped out of the way. Plus, an emerald clutch rather than a blue one would’ve been preferred, just to break the monotony.
Not bad. I prefer her stage performance dress.
I liked this look until I saw the big front slit in her dress (not shown here) and it turned me off this look. It would’ve been in my top 5 otherwise.
Because of that, I liked her performance dress way better.
Gorgeous dress on Jennifer, but the hair puts me off.

Oh yes, yes, yes. Like Naomi Watts and Jessica Alba, Jennifer’s style has just completely awed me for the past year.
I wish there wasnt that split in the middle to showcase those awful shoes. overall its very pretty but I prefered her performance dress
I love everything except her hair, wish it was up. The earrings are gorgeous.
Dress is perfect on her. However the hair and the shoes that neither complement nor match the quality of the dress kill the look for me.
She looks fantastic in this dress. The hair and make up…the whole look is on point. Initially I didnt see this as an event appropriate gown but it has grown on me quite a bit.
great dress, nice jewels, cheesy hair
Nice outfit but I think it fits the Grammys more than the Oscars.
Separately, all these pieces are great, but together it is a mess for me. She needed to edit and yes I agree that the hair was not working (and why wear those beautiful earrings if you can hardly see them thru the hair?)
I really like the dress in these pictures, but not when the split is showing. With so much detail on the dress, she really needed to wear her hair up or back.
I love the dress but i hate the wig!
I don’t love animal print but in blue it’s nice, I like the dress pretty well. Her earrings and clutch are good but the hair is not right for the look at all.
Never mind, it has a split–not liking it.
Loving it! Just not in love with their hair
She did not require such long hair. Why did they have to make it so long? It ruins the dress. She would have looked so much better with an updo. I will pass on this look.
I really like this look, except for the shoes. Although they match the colour of the dress, at the same time they feel a bit out of place on this look.
The dress is fantastic but the hair is sooo wrong..
Gorgeous!
