Adele continued to wave the flag for British fashion at the 2013 Oscars when she took to the stage at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles yesterday evening, for the performance of her Oscar winning song, ‘Skyfall’.
Having worn Jenny Packham on the red carpet, Adele donned a Burberry frock on this occasion, in her favoured colour black.
I love the shape of her black silk dress with degradé embroidered crystals, as it nipped her in at the waist giving her a beautiful silhouette.
Wearing her second pair of custom Christian Louboutin ‘Bibi’ strass pumps – this time in silver – Adele completed her look with a glorious voluminous bouffant.

Not very different from her Packham gown, aside from the length, but she looks beautiful.

I still don´t think that it´s a flattering choice for her figure – while it nips her in at the waist, the shape of the skirt is still giving her a strong pear shape. And she can try other darker slimming colours for a change like navy/midnight blue, dark green, etc.

I’m not saying she looks bad now. She doesn’t, not by a long shot. But I am convinced she could be drop-dead GORGEOUS without shedding an ounce or giving up her love of dark clothing.

Can’t get behind this choice at all. While she looks pretty enough, it just didn’t have any kind of stage presence. The sparkles faded against the lit up backdrop and it was the less impressive cousn of her red carpet dress. A floor length gown of ANY colour would have been perfect. Amazing performance though.

Her performance gown was a vast improvement over her red carpet look. I’m tired of the pulled bank, puffy, 60′s hair. I adored it long and thick and flowing.
Since she always wears black I was pleased with the fit and length. It’s Adele. She can pull it off.

This dress is not doing her any favours at all. I really loved the red patterned dress she wore to one of other award shows, can’t remember which one.
