Jennifer Lawrence stunned at the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards this afternoon which was held on Santa Monica Beach, California.
The actress, whose Dior run has been a bit of a snooze, fared much better in this youthful Lanvin Spring 2013 look.
Her bodysuit with crystal choker was styled with a wrap skirt with an asymmetrical hem which was accented with an obi style belt.
Managing to work this look without side boob was quite a feat, so she should also get credit for that.
A simple top-knot, Sylva & Cie jewelry and black strappy Giuseppe Zanotti sandals with a metal heel completed the look.

Honestly, this has to be one of her best looks ever. She looks great, wears this dress very well and, like you said FC, she manages to work this look without a side boob, which gets a major thumbs up from me.
And this look is another example that the Lawrence-Dior collaboration shouldn’t exist on the red carpet.
I think this is the best she’s looked all award season long. She killed this outfit!
She looks most beautiful than ever.
+1.
Absolutely stunning. I adore this; young and sexy without being trashy. The fact get make up is subtle and her hair is simple really complements the look. I’m praying that her Oscar dress stuns me too; I want so badly for it to be amazing!
+1!!
Love this! I think it’s pretty clear that she’s at her best when she’s not in Dior…let’s all keep our fingers crossed that at least she gets something custom for tomorrow…anyway, i wish she was posing slightly less awkwardly but she looks amazing nonetheless
Betterbutnotgreat.her feet are huge
For the first time in a long, long time, Jennifer has wowed me! While I do prefer her in color, she looks very graceful in this dress, I’m glad she didn’t opt for the runway collar, and her hair and makeup added a bit of an edge. My only condition is that I wouldve loved a pop of color, so this scores a solid 7.5/10 in my book.
Stunning! Sexy, young and elegant at the same time, I love it from head to toe. I really like the dress and the styling is perfect. Now I’m praying for tomorrow…
Absolutely amazing dress by one of the greatest collections of the year! Although I would like her hair to be more loose.. It seems casual..
Love this dress!
Always Flawless! Love this dress on her and the makeup and hair are just perfect.
she looks ok but her shoes are at least 3 sizes too big!!!
Stunning! Absolutely love this look head to toe. I think she tends to look the best in above-the-knee dresses, not gowns. She also has nice legs to show off.
Love it, she looks stunning and sexy.
But it seems like she loose lots of weight…
She looks great. I wonder how much fabric tape it took though hahah …. theres not even a inch of side boob showing ! major props.
She looks much better here. I like it!
wow!! love it!!
She looks a lot skinnier ! (it is told that Dior wanted her to loose weight)
Nope, still not on board.
+1
She’s not selling this dress. At all.
I guess I’m in a minority, because, to me, there’s way too much of her showing on top. Side boob does show up in some of the photos, and it’s a cringe-worthy look on anyone (imo, of course). Love Jennifer and think this is heading in a better direction, but it’s still a no for me.
My problem here is with the revealing sides. It is too much. If only this look had been a classy but fun halter top, without being backless/sideless, I would be totally on bored–the skirt is super cool, her hair and sandals work, and the choker neckline is good too. it’s just those sides!
I’m not really loving the sides of the bodysuit but she look young and stylish otherwise. The skirt and the neckline being my favourite parts.
Now THIS is what we want to see from
Jennifer!! Yay!! Love it.
Rachel Zoe has to goooo! Now!
Am I the only one who doesn’t like it? I find it horrific, especially with what’s going on above her waist. Looks like an ancient Chinese bra
I’d rather she stick with Dior this time, this dress isn’t supposed to be going on the red carpet on the first place
This look is awesome and provides further evidence that Jennifer does much better without Dior. She has looked fantastic in recent months when steping out in designs by Prabal Gurung, Pucci and now Lanvin.
My fingers are still crossed for the Oscar’s tomorrow.
Too-big shoes are a major pet peeve so I can’t get on board with this. Also, she doesn’t look particularly comfortable which doesn’t help the look.
Love this look but to much for this occasion. I really would love something more easy on her.
I looooved it!
