Miranda Kerr attended Global Green USA’s 10th Annual Pre-Oscar Party at Avalon in Hollywood, California on Wednesday evening.
Keeping the accessories simple and solid black was probably a wise choice as nothing should upstage her Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 ‘Bianca’ dress.
Her sleeveless crisscross dress with a cut-out and slightly ruffled hem isn’t as easy to pull off as Miranda is making it appear to be.
There is a lot going on, but it’s a beautiful noise rather than a jarring one.
My only complaint is Miranda’s makeup. A more neutral colour palette would’ve been preferred. Less would’ve been more on this occasion.

Who Was Your Best Dressed On Day 4 of Cannes Film Festival 2013?

She looks great in the dress. I wish her hair were a little softer around her face–with it pulled back and slightly teased on top it makes her head look really small, allowing the dress to overbalance her.
Pistolero!
Not crazy about the dress, too much print and color my taste but she wears it well.
Just what I was going to say.
+1
Love the dress but totally agree that the makeup is fighting for attention with already so much going on. I’m glad she kept her accessories to a minimum.
I don’t like the cutout. If it weren’t for that, I would like this look and say she was pulling it off. The makeup is too heavy though, she doesn’t need it.
She’s probably one of the few who could manage to look okay in this dress. But I really don’t like it. She still made me think of a cartoon turkey and the crisscross looked like bullet belts. In general, I’m not into Peter Pilotto’s maximal prints style.
Someone like Kerry Washington would’ve have pulled it off. MK is only great street fashionwise imo! On the RD she is very often a miss.
Too much makeup.
Frankly, I quite hate the dress. I think Pilotto’s collections are being too over the top lately. No one can really pull off these looks. Also I agree with those who said that M.Kerr’s street style is much better than her rc style
I share your opinion on Pilotto’s collections.
agree on the makeup, with such a loud dress everything else needs to be kept to a minimum. Miss Kerry Wahington IMO nails it: http://www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com/2013/01/04/kerry-washington-in-peter-pilotto-django-unchained-rome-photocall/
This is one of the few Miranda Kerr outfits I think is a complete miss. Though I like some of Peter Pilotto’s designs, this dress does nothing for her (really, who could wear this?), and her makeup is far too heavy. It fights with the dress for attention.
LOADS better than Kerry Washington’s Peter Pilotto look. Kerry’s was just confusing and weidly shaped. With Miranda’s dress here you actually get what’s going on.
Too much makeup and the dress is too long.
The dress is too long!
Keyhole aside I do like this on her and I agree the black tone the look down. From this picture I do want to get a make-up remover and wipe her face though.
Don’t like this at all. Those office shoes with that Chiquita Banana dress? And then the dress itself makes her look long waisted and is just a case of print overload bottomed off by that silly ruffle. Nope.
with a face like hers why does she need so much make up. this dress is too busy in itself. i wish her hair had been different too. could have let it a bit loose.
I think the only woman that could make me like this dress is Diane Kruger.
I really like this look from the neck down. I agree with you FC about the makeup, neutral colours would have been more complimentary.
