As brand ambassador, Julianne Moore was the lady of the hour at the BVLGARI celebration of Elizabeth Taylor’s collection of BVLGARI jewelry at the BVLGARI Beverly Hills boutique in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.
The actress wore a red Alexander McQueen bustier dress from the Spring 2013 collection, which she styled with nude ankle-strap pumps.
As Julianne tends to favour black, I was delighted to see her in this bold hue in a simple silhouette.
Her jewels were, of course, BVLGARI. Julianne is the first person ever to wear this famous Elizabeth Taylor necklace after the legendary actress herself.
She wears it well.

Dress – fabulous
Shoes – boring
and even though she’s got gorgeous skin and hair her make-up always looks washed out?
For some reason she can look a little dowdy sometimes but this is a fabulous look!
I think the dress is just OK. The shoes don’t really go with the dress. The necklace is gorgeous.
Gorgeous–the woman, the dress and that necklace. She looks fabulous in the dress.
She’s beautiful.
The dress is pretty, the colour is lovely.
The shoes are awfully boring.
The necklace is INSANE (in a positive way, of course).
The close up is gorgeous, but the shoes are making me sad.
Gorgeous dress and necklace, love her hair. This is the best she’s looked in a while, but shoes and makeup are very dull.
She should have worn her hair up to better show off the necklace.
Not good, IMO. The office shoes do not go with the glamorous emerald necklace. Her hair should be up or brushed behind.
I don’t know why there is evidently so little coordination between celebrities and jewelry companies at these events. You end up with stars wearing asymmetrical or draped necklines to model necklaces or wearing blue jeans with diamond tiaras. (Slight exaggeration.)
Love this look from the ankles up. The shoes are out of place.
The very simple dress is elegant and figure-flattering and is the perfect canvas to show off the major statement necklace. The shoes look a bit too casual for this look with such a grand necklace but at least they are non-standout and don’t distract.
I like the colour combination of the dress and necklace. I’d put the hair in a polished up-do, showing off the necklace better and add a belt to give a bit of definition. Also, change the shoes to something way more interesting and complementary.
I like the color of the dress and the necklace.
welcome back, cuz boo, it’s been a loooong time since I’ve liked something you wore.
Liz Taylor’s jewels give me goosebumps. The necklace is stunning, I can’t even imagine what it would be like to see it in person. BVLGARI pieces are out of this world!
I love this look from the ankles up. The colour combination from dress and necklace is gorgeous. I also really like her hair and makeup. Unfortunately the shoes really don’t work.
