With so many sexy gowns with plunging necklines, embellishments and sheer panels, Corinne Bailey Rae went in the opposite direction for the 2013 Brit Awards this evening, which was held at the O2 Arena in London.
The British singer opted for a minimalist look, sporting a Miu Miu Spring 2013 dress.
Her metallic rose-pink three-quarter-sleeve dress, which is purposely creased, was accented with a thin leather belt and styled with red pumps.
I love the simplicity of this look just as much as the va-va-voom Berenice Marlohe was serving on the red carpet. Even though it’s not as grand, it suits her style without being too aging *coughs-Gemma-Arterton-coughs*.
I wasn’t expecting much from this event, so I am pleasantly surprised that I liked most of the looks.

Maybe not quite event appropriate but a nice look nonetheless.
+1
I agree. That blush/rose pink looks beautiful with her complexion and hair. And the design is interesting and flattering.
I agree, she looks gorgeous but it doesn’t feel right for the event.
A bit too lackluster and forgettable, if the dress had some kind of figure-flattering shape at least, it wouldn’t be so bland.
A bit on the boring side.
cute dress. reminds me of a paper bag!
Haha I’m going to be predictably demure and love this look. My fave of the night
She just should have matched her belt to the shoes.
I agree that it is kind of boring and a bit under done for the event. That said, I always enjoy seeing this woman. I have no idea who she is, but I love her hair and her attitude–she always seems good humored, and is so handsome.
Go check out her song “Put Your Records On”
I’m not big fan of the creased look but she does look sweet. I like the colour on her and pairing the red pumps.
A little underwhelming! But she looks great! Comfy too!
Most of the looks that are featured here as opposed to most of the looks? I have noticed that thankfully a lot of them are not here… They were atrocious.
My list so far:
1. Jessie J
2. Taylor Swift
3. Corinne Bailey-Rae
And my Worst Dressed Event of The Year so far:
1. Life is But a Dream Premiere
2. Brits 2013
She looks really pretty here, and I think, for me, this is one of those times when a better shoe would have been preferred. I generally stay away from those conversations, but I think these pumps are way too substitute teacher for me. Even if they were patent leather instead of matte would have been better.
love it!
