Here are the rest of the looks from the 15th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California yesterday evening.
Amy Poehler: The comedian showed off the sophisticated side of her style wearing a black satin Prada dress. The cape-like sleeves gave this curve-hugging number a fresh take while matching black satin heels kept the glam factor going. My favorite part of the entire look? Her Ippolita emerald-green drop earrings that gave this all black ensemble a major boost of colour.
Kristen Wiig: On the other side of the colour-spectrum, Poehler’s former colleague and fellow comedian, Kristen Wiig opted for an all white relaxed shift dress. Taupe suede Christian Louboutin ‘Miyousra’ pumps and a tan clutch with a bright coral stripe accessorized the look by adding depth and a bit of colour.
Maya Rudolph: I can’t say this is my favourite look this awards season, but there are rumours that the comedian is expecting again, so this forest-green one-shoulder printed caftan might serve as a cover up.
Famke Janssen: The’Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters’ star wore a strapless body-hugging plum David Meister gown. While this simple gown felt safe especially on someone like Famke, who has the body to show off all sorts of cuts and styles, the end result was beautiful and elegant. The tone played out Famke’s gorgeous locks which had an Old Hollywood glamour appeal, while the form of the dress highlighted her statuesque form.

Amy looks fine, but those cape shoulders make her look like she’s really broad up top. Lovely earrings though. Weirdly enough, I really like Kristen’s look. That hair is unexpected, but it totally works. The shoes and clutch have a home-made, DYI feel, but don’t look tacky or immature. Maya…eh, what can you do? A caftan is a caftan. Can never look TOO bad or TOO good. Famke’s gown is gorgeous! But sadly, it feels like it’s missing a necklace. That absence is just glaringly obvious when I look at it.
Only Famke Janssen here for me – perfectly beautiful and elegant, ht2 perfection. Don’t care for the rest.
Amy’s dress isn’t working well for her, and her arms look too bare, she needed a bracelet or a ring. Kristen’s dress is meh, a bit too dull, and her tan clutch is a major eyesore, Maya – not best but not too bad either.
Famke looks great. The other looks are just OK.
Oh, Amy. NO. (The earrings are stunning, though)
Famke is the best of the lot. Maya, as usual, is sadly a mess. Amy and Kristen are only a notch better.
Not one look stands out for me. All kinda blah.
+1
Famke is the best, though nothing amazing. Kristen looks OK, the dress is a little short. Amy’s look doesn’t flatter her and Maya is a mess.
I think Kristen looks great – pretty sure that’s a Clare Vivier clutch
Famke looks good too!!
maya rudolph’s pregnancy was confirmed, and i think that this is a great maternity look! i also like it better than her usual lbd style, even her shoes are much better!!!
Famke looks gorgeous, the colour is really beautiful on her. I also like Maya, who is confirmed to be pregnant again. I think it is figure flattering on her and her shoe choice is different to her usual style and they work well.
