Nieves Alvarez shut down the red carpet on Sunday evening at the 2013 Goya Cinema Awards held at Centro de Congresos Principe Felipe in Madrid, Spain.
As you know, I’m a huge fan of Stéphane Rolland’s work, despite his recent alliance with a reality TV star, so I’m delighted to see one of his artistic pieces on the red carpet.
The ‘Solo Moda’ host wore a stunning look from Stéphane Rolland’s Spring 2012 Couture collection, featuring a black long-sleeved top and an ivory skirt with soft layers and a striking red rose appliqué, accented with a gold waistband.
Working the look like only a true supermodel can, Nieves styled her look with a black Christian Louboutin clutch and silver Chopard jewels.
A red pout and a swept updo provided the finishing touches to her BDOTW-worthy look.

This must be her best look to date. Love the hair and make up, including the red nails. It’s so classy and elegant, but fashion forward and unexpected at the same time. If I could change one thing though, I would opt for different jewels. The earrings are really distracting and the ring clashes with the gold belt.

She is my best dressed of the year so far, the only look able to get a OH MY GOD from me. At the end of the year we’ll see if she keeps the number 1, but she’ll be in the 10 list for sure. She told she received the gown three days ago but had her eye on the gown before, just waiting an appropiate event. She said something else about the red flower and Spain, but I was too astonished looking the outfit that I didn’t pay attention on what she was saying.
I’ve been waiting for that gown on the red carpet more than one year, but I was afraid something ruined the look, so I’m SO HAPPY Nieves wore it and that the styling worked so well. Kudos to her stylist too.

I usually don’t like her style – she always tries sooo hard IMO – but she looks amazing here, the dress is very interesting, the hair&make up are perfect.

This was my favorite dress of that season. Thought it would be worn immediately by then, and my wish was by Cate Blanchett. Now glad that Nieves worn it with her amazing body. Definitely reserved a spot for my BDOTY list.
