The Monique Lhuillier Fall 2013 runway show took place on Saturday afternoon despite the snow storms.
Seated behind Brad Goreski, I was trying to figure out which of the pieces he would pick for his clients.
I can see Rashida Jones wearing Look 21, which is a colourful yellow, white and black masculine suit, and my dream is to see Jessica Alba wearing the goddess-green long-sleeved gown with tonal embellishments which was Look 34.
There were plenty more show stoppers which took to the runway, ranging from vibrant, colourful prints, feather prints, bold ombre hues and a few fringe gowns, which moved beautifully as the models glided down the red carpet.
My favourite look was Look 25: the lace long-sleeved floral tulle peplum top with matching pants with a black net overskirt for dramatic effect.
The collection wasn’t all about the gowns; we also saw cigarette pants, chic blouses, swing dresses and cocktail dresses.
Some pieces were accented with the designer’s signature waistband, with all the looks featuring Monique Lhuillier’s sleek geometric cut-out shoes.
Front Row: Connie Britton, Lydia Hearst, Bridget Moynahan and Brad Goreski
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Emmy Rossum, Nina Dobrev, Ashley Greene and Bérénice Marlohe
Favourites: Look 25 and Look 34

LOVE the green in this collection!!!!
Love this collection, the only look that doesn´t quite ´measure up´ for me is look 22. Charmed by looks 6 and 19.
Loving that green gown. Great collection.
Me too! It’s just divine!
Me too! I am imagining celebrities fighting like rabid wolves over it!
Not wowed by all looks, but I love this collection nonetheless.
Thanks for the roundups!
Love: the dark drama, the richly embellished gowns, the sleeves.
Not Feeling: the pants-under-dress trend.
Divine collection.
Looks 6, 15, 19, 27….I adore Monique Lhuillier =)
I am so in love this collection, I think it is my favourite so far for this season. The shades of green are stunning and I loved the gold printed pieces like look 15. I bet the pieces looked unbelievable up close!
I LOVED this collection and while I hate no LOATHE the pants under a dress trend I loved how she presented it ( look 28 & 25). Just beautiful
Being that green is my favorite color, I am loving the green gowns. I particularly like the fabric and movement of Looks 31 and 33.
