Allison Williams took to the red carpet at the 2013 Grammy Awards as Katy Perry’s date, but the newly famous actress didn’t allow her equally fashion forward escort to hinder her sartorial choices.
The ‘Girls’ star wore strapless column gown by Kaufmanfranco.
It’s becoming clear that the actress favors a column silhouette of all lengths—and the cut really does suit her well. The dark-hued gown looks as though it’s beaded, but it is actually—brace yourself—encrusted with black diamonds.
Since the dress itself was dripping in bling, the HBO star kept her jewelry understated with geometric drop earrings and a cocktail ring from Stephen Webster.
Loose and somewhat casual waves and smokey eye makeup provided the finishing touches.

Gorgeous dress and great smile. I do wish she’d up the ante in the hair department for red carpet events. Her half pulled back look she sported at Jason Wu’s runway presentation was a refreshing change.

The gown encrusted with black diamonds – an amazing creation. Her loose relaxed hair doesn’t measure up, would’ve liked a sleek updo/low bun with it.

Such and amazing dress. Love the art deco-ish design worked into the front. As some have said, I think the plain black on the sides looks odd, a little like lining. But overall, a great look. Feel like the dress might be upstaging her a tad, though.
