Gemma Arteton cut a graphic figure at the 2013 BAFTA Awards, held at The Royal Opera House on Sunday in London.
Keeping her nude-and-black velvet striped diagonal one-shoulder Celia Kritharioti Haute Couture 2013 gown simple, the British actress didn’t add any fussy accessories.
A lovely updo and subtle makeup completed her look.
As lovely as this look is, I think many others stood out above Gemma at this event.

I like from hips up. She looks very pretty
Gemma doesnt sell this look to me. It looks like something J-Lo would wear (which we have all gotten tired of.) This look has a lot of potential, it is very unfinished looking to me. I think colorful statement jewelry would’ve done the trick, as well as a more bold hairstyle (perhaps a rockabilly roll?)
I think I can’t agree with you anymore!
Yes, others stood out above Gemma and I wished that the gown was fully lined. The overall look is nice though.
Why does this feel like a déjà-vu?
Wish it was fully lined, and actually wish the stripes weren’t nude as they look very figure-skatery. It’s not a great look. I like diagonals, but if it had been black and white the effect would have been better. As Angela said, its the sort of JLo look we’re all tired of. And her styling certainly doesn’t elevate it.
This is one dull unattractive dress, it’s like an uninspiring casual version of Rumer Willis’ s Alice and Olivia dress she wore at People’s Choice Awards. Some coloured statement jewels would’ve elevated this look a bit.
Simple
It’s OK but forgettable. If she wanted black an Armani Prive fall 2012 gown would have been more glamorous like http://www.style.com/fashionshows/complete/slideshow/F2012CTR-APRIVE/#50

I love that gowns! WOW
i know Celia Kritharioti because she is greek and i am greek as well, so i have to say this is a very simple look for me too. Celia has much more beautiful, more interesting and more appropriate awards gowns! it’s a pity they picked this one!
Ελα ρε συ!! I totally agree with you!! Velvet dresses, beauriful gowns! She could wear sth more impressive!

Καλα υπεθεσες! Και πως σου ‘ρθε και το εκανες Naya?
Love it. Chic, not overcooked up not uncooked either. If the nude hadn’t so perfectly matched her skin colour I might not be on board but it does, and I think it’s very beautiful.
Agree. It’s such a perfect colour match.
Honestly, I rather love it. It’s very odd for me to find a black/nude gown striking, but this stands out in an unexpected way.
Classic but unusual at the same time. Hair and makeup perfectly complementary.
this would look good on Charlize Theron or Stacy keibler…
but not this girl.
Another good look from Gemma. It isn’t a standout but I rarely like Gemma’s looks and this is a thumbs up from me.
Lovely but forgettable. She isn’t selling the look, either.
She looks amazing, love how the nude inserts match her skin perfectly.
I think this is a very nice look for Gemma. The black and nude stripes are quite impressive.
I seem to be in the minority here, but I love this look for her! My favourite of the night!
