Sonam Kapoor attended the Hindustan Times Style Awards 2013 held at Hotel ITC Grand Central in Parel, Mumbai on Thursday evening.
The Indian actress wore a black Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2013 gown with cross-strap detailing and a gold-accented waist belt, which is our first look at this collection on the red carpet.
Her dress might have been considered ho-hum had it not been for the styling.
Fierce wing-tip eyes, a gold Elie Saab box clutch and on-trend ear cuffs courtesy of Valliyan by Nitya accessorized her look.
You’ll be forgiven if Doctor Spock comes to mind when looking at her ear cuffs.

I think she looks amazing in an all black look, I think the dress itself is pretty lovely – but I don’t think that black is the best colour for this dress.
So I think this is one of the moments where she looks good despite the dress.
The styling, hair and make up makes the look far more interesting. She’s really a gorgeous creature. FC, is this from Elie Saab Pre-Fall collection and are you fond of the ear cuffs she’s wearing?

she’s too sugary pretty to look fierce but she really does look great here. first she did a princess leia in that gorgeous to-die-for elie saab white gown and now this…hehehehe! i saw a full length picture of her in the India Vogue Issue of January in that beauty of an Elie Saab gown standing tall with her father. She looks majestic. She’s one of those few Indian actors who can pull off almost any look. She looks great in Indian clothes too!
It’s just OK–the gown is elegant but a little plain and I dislike the ear cuffs.

I love how with Sonam the mood of the outfit is always clear with the way she carries herself and emotes for the camera. This is a great look, and in essence so simple.
Not really crazy about the ear cuffs but I really really love her in this dress and her belt, clutch, hair and makeup is fantastic! Love this!
