For a while, the allure of Chloe Sevigny was starting to wane, but she was back to her best on the red carpet for the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2013 Fashion Week held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City yesterday evening.
Gone is the slight dishevelled appearance in favour of a more polished look, whilst still maintaining her downtown-girl edge wearing a Proenza Schouler Spring 2013 frock.
Her printed black-and-white dress with a side slit was of course styled with some sturdy Proenza Schouler booties and a simple black fold-over clutch.

Polished is not the word I would use. Boring. Dishevlled. Matronly. Those words fit. This is a big NO.
Not a good look.
I think this is a more successful look on the runway; I prefer the belt & the subtle sheer panels to Chloe’s interpretation. I also think her booties together with the length of the skirt cuts her off & makes her look a tad stubby. I think knee boots would have been a better choice.
All of this being said, this is one of her better looks for me.
Don’t like this. In addition to the unattractive dress and heavy shoes, her hair looks awful imo.

This is a woman whose fashion sense in large part I do not understand. The hair, the dress, the boots–they’re just an odd combo in my book. I really wish she would change her hairstyle as it’s not very flattering to her.

Hot mess
I don’t like this at all.
I have never understood how Chloe is viewed as some kind of fashion oracle. She always looks somewhat deranged to me. Here is no exception. Im speechless about the hair.
She was fashion icon 10 years ago, but now… eh. This is all wrong. What happened to Chloe last couple of years?

I’m not a fan of the hair and the look feels too casual for the occasion especially with the boots.
Wow there is so much wrong with this look! The dress is frumpy, unflattering, and odd, and manages to be tacky because of that slit. The shoes are horrendous, and her hair is UNSPEAKABLE. Not a fan of this girl’s style. Only Alexa Chung rivals her for bad hair days.
No liking anything about this look unfortunately and I don’t think her hair is very flattering. She has a pretty face but I don’t think anything is highlighting that.
