Ashley Greene lit up the red carpet while attending the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2013 Fashion Week at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Wednesday evening.
The ‘Twilight’ actress, who we will no doubt see front row at the Donna Karan Fall 2013 show, wore a gorgeous Giambattista Valli Resort 2013 look.
Her white silk-cady halter gown with a keyhole detail was styled with a gold leaf waistband.
I love her Lorraine Schwartz yellow‐gold and diamond flower earrings, which complement the waistband, and the shimmering silver eyeliner, which makes her grey eyes pop.
While some of you think that Ashley can play it safe on the red carpet, I find this graceful look, which she styled with glossy tresses and a pink lip colour, very charming and becoming of a young actress who doesn’t want to take the ‘look how hot I look in a short floral sheer dress’ approach to red carpet dressing.

Ashley looks lovely and subtle. Fabulous earrings. Not really feeling the poke at Ms Greene’s Twilight costar though, even with that particular sheer floral dress being hideous.

I saw the pic and took a sharp intake of breath. Especially considering her twitter said she was under the weather, she looks stunning! I hope this makes the BDOTW poll and ill keep this look in mind for BDOTY as well.

I usually love Ashley’s style and this look almost works for me but I hate the keyhole. Not a fan of revealing bodices. Other than that I would like it–her styling is fab and the gold belt is beautiful.

Lots of old school (not old, though) elegance here. Would’ve preferred no keyhole. I think there’s enough going on without it. But very nice. Love that belt and her hair. Also, I really do wish more actresses would have a go at subtle elegance once in a while.
Love the elegant feminine romantic gown, but Ashley is not quite the right person to carry it off for me – would prefer to see it on someone with a bit less athletic physique and more natural grace and softness in the presence. Also find her hair a bit overpowering, would´ve much preferred a soft updo.

She looks pretty, if bland and indistinct. But I find Giambattista Valli’s branding choices so odd. Why choose such bland, nothing actresses to be the ambassadors for your brand (particularly Jessica BANGS Biel)? I know other actresses like SJP often wear the brand, but Valli has recently become associated with these other actresses in my mind. Not aspirational.

The waistband really makes look. It should be should with the dress. I’d ditch the earring and her hair seems darker than usual, not in a good way.
I love the gown, just not on her. I dont know how she does it, but this women sucks the life out of everything that she wears.
