Sally Field attended the 85th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon hosted on Monday at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.
The ‘Lincoln’ nominated actress wore an Alberta Ferretti Spring 2013 chiffon cap-sleeved dress featuring seamed lace detailing and a lace yoke.
I love the light, airy feeling of the look, which is why I can’t help but be surprised by the heavy black pumps.
Even the gold glitter clutch doesn’t quite work for me with this look.
This is a classic case of the styling letting down a gorgeous dress.

Wrong shoes. The clutch feels out of place too. The dress is nice.
Love love love this dress on her, super flattering and pretty and elegant. But the shoes make me sad.
The clutch doesn’t but, but the boring black pumps do.
Dress is gorgeous with a hint of quirk. And more importantly, she looks great in it. Well played.
She looks gracefully beautiful. Don’t love the shoes, but they don’t spoil the look for me either.
