Oscar-nominated actress Anne Hathaway joined fellow nominees on the red carpet at the 85th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon, hosted on Monday at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.
Unlike the others, who wore colourful or floral looks, it was head-to-toe black for Anne.
Keeping her look simple, she opted for a black Resort 2013 dress with a cascading ruffle at the back by The Row.
Her LBD was styled with black vegan sandals, Jamie Wolf yellow-gold and pavé diamond stud earrings, plus Jennifer Meyer bracelets and rings.
A pink lip colour completed her elegant luncheon look.

her shoes are awful!she should have worn something much more interesting to shake a bit things up. i like the dress very much. it’s simple, chic and elegant. but the shoes just ruined her whole outfit!

I love this! I don’t find this boring as Anne does not always go for this same look, or the same of any look. This is perfect from head to toe. Someties a girl just needs a simple LBD and I am grateful that there are no pumps in sight!
She looks chic, she looks beautiful… but it is boring!! This awards season was her chance to shine, and so far I haven’t been impressed.
Boring! I would have even liked this better if this was a bright color.
I like the ruffle back but this needed to be in rich cobalt or burgundy. It is so boring in black. Also those shoes look like bridesmaid sandals.

Anne truly looks stunning in black, but I wish she would wear more color! This is nice but a bit boring. I do like the shoes with it, though.

She used to be such a promising fashionista (Venice Film Festival a few years ago, anyone). But now she’s snooze-worthy, and her risks usually fail (the hideous Tom Ford leg braces).
Oh wow. Black. What a shocker. Would it kill her to go for the runway version? We’ve only seen her in black (and white) like 654 times this season.
Boring! The Row is trying to steal Balenciaga’s nun look.
