Solange Knowles was the guest DJ at the Audi Forum New Orleans held at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in Louisiana on Saturday evening.
Prior to taking up her duties, she was spotted on the red carpet sporting a more muted look than we’ve come to expect from the colour-loving, print-obsessed fashionista.
The singer/DJ wore a white ensemble from the Sportmax Spring 2013 collection, featuring an oversized leather coat, a sheer top and an asymmetrical-cut leather skirt.
Even her Gucci ankle-cuff sandals came in one solid colour, but she did provide a pop of colour courtesy of her bold fuchsia lips.
My only issue with this look is the size: it feels too big for Solange. I would’ve also loved to have seen the look without the jacket.

Not liking the oversize jacket. I guess she reads your site FC
we wanted her to tone down the prints for a minute and she did . LOL.
She looks really bulky in this. Thumbs down from me.
The oversized jacket does not look good, the rest is fine.
Its not a very flattering jacket, but somehow she pulls it off. I love everything Solange, this girl can do no wrong in my book! Besides, I’m sure she took the jacket off to spin records all night.
Seeing her in a neutral solid feels refreshing. she looks cool but a smaller size jacket would have been cooler or the jacket with skinny pants.
I don’t like this look at all. Bulky, overwhelming, and then there’s the issue of the split skirt.
