While one set of Hollywood was mingling at the 2013 DGA Awards last night in California, another pack of PYTs, including ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev, hit up the 2013 NFL Honors Awards at Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Her Zuhair Murad Spring 2013 confection, carried off in a sublime light blue, combined a whole host of trends into its shorty, flirty shape. Lace overlay on a nude bodice made way for an architectural pouf skirt that was a pattern play of geometric prints and bold rose florals.
You may remember that Jennifer Lopez also wore a lacy gown from this collection at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.
Nina left the metallic belt and gold shoes in the designer’s lookbook, but did add some silver with her Jimmy Choo heels and matching clutch.
Her simply styled, wavy long hair and sun-kissed makeup provided the finishing touches to this edgy-sweet statement.

WOW! I LOVE this! What a beautiful dress, and so perfect on Nina!
LOVE! Pretty and flirty. She is on such a roll.
A little on the short side but I LOVE this look–that patterned, sculpted skirt is amazing.
She looks gorgeous. This sia great look!
This is a great look
Wahou perfect !! Materials and colors matching are just perfect!
I agree. I prefer her styling to the model’s. Beautiful!
Lovely dress looks great on her. Very cute.
Glad she left out the belt, it looks better without it, can´t say I love this look – a bit cheesy, too sweet, short and girly, but it´s cute enough.
LOVE so lovely and young and fresh. I forget how young she is sometimes!
+1
I prefer the look with the belt actually. Without it the dress borders on frothy, too-sweet territory. Nina looks nice, but this is a dress for a bat mitzvah or a middle school dance, especially with the silver shoes. She can do better.
+1 totally agree about the gold accessories, they add warmth to this look and stops it short of being “prom queen”.
Whilst I don’t think there is anything edgy left of this look, her styling does this dress justice. She looks lovely, but it’s time she switched her ever-the-same pose on RC.
WOW! I cannot believe how much I LOVE this. Seriously, I want to marry this look and have babies with it.
She looks drop-dead gorgeous, I love this from head-to-toe. The dress is so beautiful and her hair looks amazing.
I love this. It’s girly but still chic. Her styling (as usual) is just perfect.
The only thing that bothers me is the snow outside my window. Yes, I know she’s in New Orleans where it’s not quite as cold, but I still want to throw her a blanket.
I love this look!! Nina is on my best-dressed list pretty much every time she steps out, and this isn’t an exception.
I’m glad she wore her hair down. I feel like it’s been awhile since the last time she did.
I miss the belt. Without it, the odd mix of trends is even more noticeable.
I want Nina to stop posing side-on like that btw.
I actually like the dress, I think she can pull it off at 23. But the side-view pose is killing me.
Amazing as always. She’s been so consistent lately.
I can’t tell you how much I love this! She looks absolutely beautiful in that pale blue. Love the makeup and hair, and I actually prefer the silver to the gold in the lookbook. Has she changed (darkened) her hair recently?
Yes, she’s got a new haircut.
Agree.
And yes, she has a new haircut and new highlights I think. I love she did something different with her hair because that was the only thing I didn’t like so much about her style.
I actually prefer this to her SAG look. Very cute.
I like it a lot! So pretty!
She looks really pretty here. It’s a cute dress and I prefer the silver accessories with the cool blue.
Adore it! The dress is awesome and it’s nicely styled. Definitely a thumbs up from me.
How does this girl do it that almost everything she wears looks like it was made for her? Must be the perfect hourglass leggy body, probably.
Exactly ! I wonder that too.
She looks cute and adorable here and the styling is so perfect!
Love love love this. Definitely worthy of a BDOTW nod.
Outstanding! She can do no wrong in my eyes, slightly obsessed with Nina!
Nina is on a neverending roll. Love this frock.
Love!
Now THIS I can get behind. I love the dress. Its youthful, sexy, flirty and her hair looks amazing. Much better and far more interesting than that boring Elie Saab she wore to Globes.
I really love this. The skirt is magical. Well done. BDOTW worthy I would say.
She looked better than the model, but I think this dress works best with the belt.
WOW!
I think the dress needs the little bit of edge with the metallic belt, whether gold or silver.
