Jessica Alba attended the ‘Escape From Planet Earth’ Los Angeles premiere last night at Mann Chinese 6.
The actress went for top-to-toe Louis Vuitton with a red-and-black lacy moment from Pre-Fall 2013, paired with a shoulder bag and embellished shoe.
For the red (or blue!) carpet, Jessica dolled up the dramatic, straight-laced lookbook version, which appeared to be hiding under a black overcoat, with Jennifer Meyer jewels, plus her ombre-effect waves and lighter nude lip.
But she inserted the heaviness right back in with a pair of black tights that I just couldn’t get behind. Something about the strap of her handbag also cluttered this look.
With Bérénice Bejo and Jessica both looking ahead to LV’s pre-fall foray, perhaps the checquered game from Spring 2013 has finally seen its last player. But I doubt it.

Yes, the tights really weigh this down. Not her best effort by a long shot.
This is way cuter than Berenice’s dress, but I hate the tights, and the shoulder-strap.
I don’t mind the tights. I think she looks pretty. Love her hair.
I like everything about this looks except the handbag. Her hair looks nice.
*this look
The tights don’t work with the dress fabric at all. They ruin the look for me.
I detest the ombre hair.
I used to be a huge fan of Jessica’s. *sigh*
I’m not too bothered by the tights here, she still looks good in the dress. I’m not hating the ombre hair here like I did with her previous Saab Couture which really spoilt that dress though the darker shade all over would be lovely. A clutch would have been better than the shoulder bag..
I love the tights with it, but maybe that’s because I’m one to wear tights with dresses. But I think the strap on her purse was not needed, and she should have either tucked it in, or opted for a clutch.
