Darby Stanchfield was unrecognisable on the red carpet at The Shrine Auditorium in California on Friday evening, for the 2013 NAACP Image Awards.
That because she was wearing makeup and smiling. I’m so used to her scowling, makeup free character in the hit series, ‘Scandal’ which was honoured with the ‘Best Drama Series’ Award at this ceremony.
The red-haired beauty wore a beautiful strapless Donna Karan Fall 2012 gown.
Her taupe chiffon strapless gown, decorated with tonal paillette detailing, which fade out toward the hem of her skirt, was styled with luscious wavy locks and an oversized black clutch.
It’s such a delight to see our favourite TV stars all glammed up.

Sparkly taupe on a redhead — what a great combo! Taupe can muddy some complexions but with her coloring, it comes alive. Nicely done.
Sparkly strapless gowns are somewhat of a cliché on the red carpet, but this one works because its color makes it more edgy than most. I don’t like the clutch, it’s very drab and boring, but I love her hair. So gorgeous.
