Isabel Lucas attended the opening of the Christian Dior boutique in Sydney, Australia today.
The blonde-haired beauty wore one of the bolder pieces from the Christian Dior Spring 2013 collection, which was this beautiful multi-coloured metallic organza strapless dress with a waterfall skirt.
My first thought was thank God the red carpet is black, as I fear her shoe choice may have put me off the overall look.
A green pair of strappy sandals would’ve been my choice, but I guess Isabel did make the right choice by allowing the focus to fall solely on the dress.

How would have I styled this look? Throwing the dress away and choosing another one!
Sorry but the dress in itself is ugly and unflattering, no styling could have saved it. It’s not the worst look of the week just because of Gemma Arterton’s Westwood dress.

Maybe sleek hair, emerald green pumps and a different pose could have improved it, though.
I kinda agree with you. There is anything I like about this dress, the fabric looks quite cheap. But at least I would have chosen colorful sandals.

Yesterday, Lucy Liu wore a fancy toga; today, Isabel Lucas wears a parachute. I liked this dress on the runway- I think it benefits from movement and needs the bell-like structure. It falls lifeless on Isabel. And, my first thought for a shoe was the green strappy metallic pumps from Dior’s couture presentation earlier this month.
Have to agree with the others–the dress is really a looser. Maybe without the waterfall skirt….but probably not.

I hated the dress on the model. I hate it on her. It is hideous.
Ummm … this is where I freely admit that sometimes I don’t get fashion. I agree with Anne that the look falls rather lifeless here but even then! Just … no. Too, Isabel herself doesn’t appear to be very happy or confident wearing the dress and that really kills it for me.
How ’bout shower shoes, this looks like a bath curtain.
On the dress itself, It doesn’t really seem like something I would guess was Dior.. its a cool dress maybe without the waterfall skirt and with more confidence
I love bright shimmery colors, but this is a TERRIBLE look! Someone above mentioned Project Runway…if this look came down the runway Michael Kors would be all, “This looks like a beach towel morphed with a disco ball,” and Nina Garcia would question the contestant’s taste level and then Heidi would promptly ‘auf’ them. This dress is beyond bad!

OMG! Are you All serious, Dior spring 13 is one of my favourite collections this dress is just amazing I dont really know what +36 are thinking….. Galliano? Really? That wasn’t Dior and neither clothes… I think he was great at sewing but designing? Hell no! I have sheen all his collections and people are criticizing RAF for 4 collections while Galliano did over 100 wrong collections

i miss galliano so much. the last collections from dior are not spectacular, like galliano’s.
she needs to be taller so that the train thing isnt soo low so some killer heels was needed or cutting off that part and her hair is a mess, like pull that together up in a bun.
