Kate Mara took to the red carpet yesterday evening promote her latest TV series, ‘House Of Cards’ by attending a screening at NEWSEUM in Washington D.C.
As we all know Kate pretty much wears Dior exclusively on the red carpet, so she switched things up on this occasion donning a Peter Som Spring 2013 mini dress.
Her seafoam dress with an embroidered overlay featuring a white paillette necklace and a nipped in waist completely commands my attention.
Even with the contrasting purple Judith Leiber clutch, my eyes went straight to her dress.
Nude Brian Atwood ‘Tribeca’ ankle strap peep-toes and a simple bun completed her gorgeous look.

The dress is gorgeous. I don’t like the darker purple clutch as it feels harsh when everything else is so soft and pretty.
Couldn’t agree more. I find the hair a bit boring even though (or: because?) that seems to be her thing. Still, the dress is just awww and makes up for everything.

I love the dress–it’s beautiful and so elegant. I like everything but the clutch. Or the shoes. They are both nice apart but make the other one feel out of place when worn together. Still, this is a gorgeous look.

Love this! The soft hairstyle and makeup go beautifully with the dress. I actually like how the clutch brings out the purple in the bodice. So glad she’s not wearing the collar the model has on on the runway!
I’m just excited to see Peter Som on the red carpet. Haven’t seen his collection in a while.
