“Y’all hated it but I loved it” LOL
I also loved it
thanks for all of the hard work, as usual it was a great and super enjoyable coverage!!
As you know it is always my pleasure
I also loved it! She can do no wrong in my eyes
I also loved it, she’d be my best dressed of the night.
yeah…me too, it was the shoes that made it special.
I also loved it!
I disagree with the best dressed, I only
Ike amanda seyfried and instead of nicole kidman and jane krakowski I’d choose lea michele and nina dobrev
My guess is the terrible drip-dye hair on Lea, negated her from being eligible for Best Dressed. We all know FC is a strong opponent (for many good reasons!)
But I love, and agree with you about Ya’ll Hated It… cause I loved it too!
Great job during this busy, busy time of the year! You’re nearly through it all FC and ready to slay the red carpet at the Oscars!!!! Get some deserved rest.
Yeah, Sally Fields! I was hoping you would spotlight her. She looked great.
Yay! My Top 3 were: Jane Krakowski, Marion Cotillard and Julianna Margulies.
I remember I did’t share your round-up for the Globes but I’m with you on this one 98%!
That’s what’s fun about fashion, that we can all have different tastes and opinions!
ps- Wonderful coverage as always xx
Wow! Just seen your site’s mobile version! Congrats! It works fantastically!
Looks like 2013 is gonna be a cool year for RCFA!
thank you…it took a while, but it’s finally here.
Nicole Kidman was definitely my best dressed she looked amazing also was a big fan of January Jones I didn’t get to see any of the coverage on TV so thanks for all the fashion FC much appreciated Cant wait for your Oscars moment
Hahaha.. still laughing out on the Jessica rabbit look alike award !
Loveeee your round ups FC ! Agree with most of them..
Thanksss !
Amanda was my best dressed too and the others were also in my Top 10. I agree with all the awards. “Y’all hated it, but I loved it award” lol
Thanks FC and your team for an amazing coverage and all the hard work! You proved once again that this is the best fashion blog.
Thank u x
Thank you so much for your amazing coverage! One might not agree with your choices (I like 70% of what you chose), but it’s your undeniable dedication that brings this site forward.
Thank u very much x
I guess I am in the minority with Marion’s look. It feels really unbalanced to me. She looks beautiful but she wasn’t one of my favorites. To me the standout is really Amanda Seyfried who I think put out a BDOTY showing here. It would have been enough to do the dress, the makeup and the hair, but the addition of the necklace is just genius.
I agree about the necklace. it’s different and young but really adds to the dress. she got my vote on BDOTW an BD fr the SAGs.
Oh FC – you are the best!! Having a crappy day but looking at your list just makes me smile!! Thanks for your coverage and I agree with you best dressed whole heartedly… Nicole Kidman and Amanda all the way for me!
well done FC, a great round up. loved the inclusion of the hate but love, and the risks that paid off. Im not sure though about Jane K cause for me its too much like KMcP in elie saab ( the lookbook had an interesting drop waist which I liked as I mentioned on her post). however Amanda, nina, bradley, nic and marion were all at the top of my list. Also got to give a shout out to my fav actress JLaw. While not her best look she did win the BA award and even after almost ripping her couture dress still came off with grace and as awesome as ever.
I agree with almost every award except the best dressed. For me it was Amanda and Nina.
Thanks for the coverage, it’s been so much fun, love the site.
Hahahaha the Jessica Rabbit comment cracked me up.
I loved Juliana Margulies too.
but who is ‘most disappointed award’?:)
That would be a good one, but who would you pick? For me it might be claire danes. I liked her dress as it was different, edgy and she carried it well but maybe because I’m used to being in awe of her and this time I wasn’t she gets my vote. Also maybe Jessica C. While I thouht both the colour and cut were miles better than her GG disaster, I was expecting better than Jessica rabbit.
Doesn’t anyone think that Anne is most likely to win a Liza Minelli (circa 1980) lookalike award?
Once again, incredible coverage. Always love your round ups. Laughed so hard at the ‘y’all hated it but i love it award’ because I did hate it
many thanks xx
Did Eddie Redmayne attend the SAGs? I don’t remember seeing him. It’s a shock not seeing him on the best dressed ahaha.
I don’t know what I’d do without your site during awards season, FC!
thank you… yep eddie is here http://www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com/2013/01/28/2013-sag-awards-menswear-round-up/
Nicole Kidman and Amanda got my vote!!!
+1. They looked absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!!!!
No worst dressed? For me it would be a toss-up between Sigourney Weaver and Julianne Moore. They needed to do the pencil test before leaving home without bras.
What the hell is the pencil test? never heard that one before.
Pencil test; if a woman can hold a pencil under her boob that means she needs a bra.
With that being said, I loved Julianne Moore in that dress and I thought her breasts looked wonderful, too. I dare anyone else at 52 to look that good in a dress like that.
Thanks for that but I doubt any of the stars do that, they just rely on their stylists. Also julianne moore looks amazing for a woman the same age as my mum.
She is beautiful, but the fit around the breasts was sagging and her lack of support wasn’t helping.
Love the skirt on the dress. If the dress had fit properly and the girls supported, she would have made my best dressed list.
As Anjos explained, you put a pencil under your breast and let go. If your breast can hold the pencil in place than you need a bra. If not, then you can go without. The more pencils you can hold, the more support you need.
I used to do it as a teenager, to see if I was ready for a bra.
I love this..never heard of this before.
Neither had I FC. thanks guys, funniest thing ive heard on here. Id try it but I know that my girls need support.
Mine too.
You can read a little more on the pencil test here – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pencil_test_(breasts)
Always enjoy these. Thanks for the amazing coverage, FC. I can’t remember what it was like to NOT be reading your blog daily
Cheers to the Oscars, and your fabulous RC debut!
thank you Emma x
I have no words to describe my disappointment with this awards season so far. I don’t remember having a single wow moment. My favs at SAG Awards were Julianne Moore and Anne Hathaway and I usually don’t care about Anne on the red carpet at all so that’s saying a lot.
MARION MARION MARION!! That color and shape is perfect. I love her shoes and hair. She looked flawless. Definitely THE BEST dressed. I know everyone fawned over Nina D. but the dress was very generic and boring. If it wasnt hot pink, she would have disappeared. I know many of you hated it, but I loved Jennifer Lawrence’s Dior. That color was perfect and it was nicely fitted around her bust.
Completely agree with all of the above
Excellent coverage as ever FC- getting up early in the morning the day after Globes/SAG/Oscars, grabbing the computer and scrolling down page after page of your over night coverage is one of the best feelings ever
These roundups are the icing on the cake.
On a side note, if this post had been addressed only to me, I would have loved a ‘You loved it but I hated it’ award for Jennifer Lawrence!!!
I’m merely puling your leg
Goodness help us if you ever have a miraculous change of mind and decide to change professions-We’ll need therapy!!
Keep up the brilliant work
thanks…will do x
I was sad that Jennifer Lawrence did not make this list. I’m so happy to see Kiernan Shipka mentioned. She looks amazing! All of the ladies from Mad Men looked awesome. I love Marion Cotillard, Bradley Cooper (even with the bow tie), and Juliana Margulies.
I agree with all choices, except male best dressed. My pick was Eddie.
x
Even though I don’t agree with all the choices, I think you did a great job with the coverage FC for the SAGs.
Many thanks…disagreeing is half the fun
I agree!! I loved Nicole, Jane and Amanda, those were my best too!!! I also loved Ellie Kemper in Reem Acra, Kerry Washington in Rodarte, Marion in Dior, Jen Garner, Elizabeth Moss, Viola Davis and Helen Hunt.
“Most Likely to Win a Jessica Rabbit Lookalike Competition” – I LOLed hard on this one! I love your choices and I love it when your wit and sense of humor come through! Thank you for your lighthearted, fun, as well as well-versed take on the often uber serious subject of fashion.
Was waiting for the round-up post since yesterday just to see your pick for best-dressed and funny awards name that you come up with this time! haha.
Thanks for the amazing coverage FC! xx
My pleasure x
Thanks for all the coverage FC!
My personal favs were Marion, Nicole and Jennifer Garner. I also loved Julianne Moore and Jennifer Lawrence.
Totally LOLed at ‘Y’all hated it but I loved it! award’ and ‘Most likely to win a jessica rabbit lookalike competition’!
Looking forward to your take on the rest of the awards season and of course your Oscars dress!
Thank you…glad you enjoyed it, that was my aim
FC, am curious to know who would win your fashion razzies for the SAGs!
what does that mean?
LOL!
“Most Likely to Win a Jessica Rabbit Look-a-like Competition Award”!
Love this award. Great job, FC!
Thx a lot FC! But I am curious to know what you thought of Jessica Lange?
wasn’t a fan of the sheer panels
I think I wait for your round-ups even more eagerly than I wait for awards nights
Super job — and your cheeky awards never fail to make me laugh.
I thought Julianna dress was quite nice and I loved the hair but I string bow was annoying and simple sandals would have been best.
agree on best dressed — at least with Nicole Kidman. she was absolutely my best dressed of the night. just absolutely resplendent.
My favorite dresses are Marion Cottilard and Kiernan Shipka!
Thanks for all these postings, I really enjoy the pics. I never comment in here before but I find I really enjoy this post!
thanks for your comment.
