Jessica Alba took to the red carpet at the 2013 Producers Guild Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel yesterday evening.
The actress wore an Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture gown. One of many I hope to see on the red carpet today.
Her black embroidered lace gown with a long sleeves and a sweetheart neckline was styled with a purple patent leather Roger Vivier ‘Prismick’ clutch.
Jessica’s gown is heavenly, the clutch adds a delightful pop of colour as do her mint-green nails and punchy pink lip colour, but I can’t get on board with the ombre tresses.

The hair is so wrong with this look. The gown is stunning, but the hair actually ruins the whole look for me.

I love the dress but Jessica’s styling is pretty bad. From the limp ombré hair to the odd lipstick choice to the clutch, I don’t like anything.
This dress needed to be lined better. On Jessica it’s an odd combination of tacky, overwrought, and matronly. I don’t like her hair, her makeup, or her nails with this…only the clutch is winning points with me.

If her hair was up AND not dip-dyed, I would be j’adoring this look from head to toe.
This is a lovely dress, but I can’t really appreciate it because I’m so sick of sheer dresses combined with visible granny panties underneath! Ditto for ombre hair.
Unfortunately her hair brings down this look but I absolutely adore everything else. The pops of colour are great, I love that Jessica is never afraid to sport a bold lip colour.
I don’t remember the last time an Elie Saab couture gown was so badly styled. Where’s the WOW factor? Huge disappointment!

Her hair, nails and pink lips cheapens the look. It’s amazing how a bad/tacky styling can ruin even the most gorgeous dresses.
